I grew a short rider indoors and used a mix of both 6800k and 2500k during the entire grow, she made around 24grams cured.

Hey there Auto-Flower People, I just went back about 5/6 pages of posts, and I don't see anyone mention the Nirvana/Attitude Auto-Flower giveaway last weekend. Nirvana has developed Auto-Flower, Feminised; Northern Lights, Jock Horror, & Bubblelicious. They gave 1 of each strain with the first 1500 orders starting at 10 am London time on 5/7. I'm a little curious, am I the ONLY member of RIU to get in on this deal???? If so, I am ONE lucky S.O.B.! LOL
Good luck & good grow.......BB
You had to go back farther I believe. I posted something about it the day that the special was announced. Its nice that you got those seeds. I hope you will do a good grow report for us. Im very interested in those auto strains myself. Auto bubblicious sounds nice, so does the jock horror. An auto NL isnt anything new but I hope its good too. I did not get in on this offer, I have more seeds than I know what to do with now. Mostly Diesel Ryder.

Hey OI, yes, I too am up to my pits in seed,(still got 45 DNA Genetics Skunk Train tucked away in the safe), but this I could not resist, LOL. I might as face it, I'm a bloody seed junkie. I've got a Pakistan Ryder, a Low Ryder#2 and 3 Quicksilvers, put away. I've started a Taiga, Roadrunner, & Quicksilver outdoors. This is my first try at AF. The Roadrunner is only about 8" and getting a big flower in the top and stinks like skunk. She's 5 weeks from seed, does this seem about right?..........BB

Yes all CFL, It was right around 236ish watts or so maybe a little more. I had a BIG 68 watt 2500k and 2- 27 watt 2500k, rest was 6800k bulbs ranging from 14 watts each to 26 watts I think.

Yo gwillim - I'm growing BB Auto too - tho mine are way behind yours - still seedlings... Have you got a grow journal of what you did? Was yours an indoor or outdoor grow? (I'm guessing indoor if they are nearing harvest given the weather...?)

First time I've grown BB Auto, tho got 4 Lowryders and 2 Lowryder #2 on the go too! Any tips for the BB Auto strain?

Peace
I didn't do a journal mate cos I only found this site about a fortnight ago. I started them off under 2 x 18w strip lights untill they were 4 weeks then moved them out to my 800x800x1600 grow tent under a 200w cfl which I've now changed for a 250w hps (cfl bulb blew!). I've used all bio bizz soil and nutes which seem good but I've found it very easy to over feed (nute burn!!). It's been a fairly slow grow cos even tho they're in a tent, the tent is in my shed and the temp. doesn't get much above above 18-19d at it's warmest. 5 plants all in all tho one is perfectly formed yet only 8" tall and one is way behind the rest in flowering. The other 3 are ranging between 22" and 29" tall. They're advertised as throw and grow seeds and they seem that way to me! How are you growing??

For 71 days from seed under CFL's it was wonderful.

I only did one because it was my first rodeo with autos and I wasn't sure about size.

Now that I know what I know, Next indoor grow will be grand.

Great - good work!!
I started mine off indoor, just next to the windowsil as I wanted them to be on the same light cycle as outdoors. Now they are all outside, braving the weather (I re potted them and put them out earlier this week, mabe 2 1/2 weeks into grow). They seem to be doing well - all nice and lush green, HOWEVER, they seem to be growing VERY slowly. Aproaching week 3 and they are still very small. I put this down to the temps they are in. Its obviously not that warm at the mo in general and so I think this is stunting their growth a bit... I kept one of them indoor from seed in my grow room as I wanted a comparison of yeild/growth time etc etc and the indoor one is bigger tho just as healthy (there seems to be no probs with them being outdoor and staying healthy, just take longer to develop!). Yea nute burn is a problem I've had in the past with Lowryders - trying to lovingly "neglect" them now...! They seem to thrive best given hardly any nutes - so easy to burn them! I use Canna nutes.

Anyways, let me know more about ur grow as it continues!

Peace

Was thinking about more possible uses for the giant flash autos. For one thing I bet if you have them in smaller pot you could force them to flower sonner. Maybe you dont want a 6-9 ft auto. It probably wouldnt finish early. Maybe you want a 4 ft auto that finishes in mid summer. Also Im thinking of trying them in winter here, maybe with an unheated greenhouse. Still will be cool at night and short days. So a normal auto will probably stunt. But an auto that has potential to get 9 ft tall would probably have a chance at making to a few feet.

Hay all, I just got some new Lowryder Purple Jem beans in and was wondering if any one has tried the new strain yet?

DO autos take longer to finish outdoors? Thought I read that.
Hey businessmen,
I haev very little experience with growing outdoor (the grow im doing at the moment is my first...!). However, I am more an indoor grower and if I compare my current grows (both indoor and out) of the same strain, I have to say that the outdoor strains are developing much slower than the indoor. Whether or not this will affect the finishing date is yet to be seen (it might just be that the outdoor strains will just end up being smaller plants but finish when they are supposed to).
From my understanding, and this could be wrong, Auto strains are supposed to finish within the same time constraints wherever they are. For example, the Lowryders and BB Autos im doing are supposed to finish 80 days from seed, indoor or out.
However, from past experience from indoor growing, I have found that this is not necasserily the case and they can finish earlier or later than they are supposed to. Actually, with me (and this may be a fault of my growing technique) I have found that more often than not they finsh LATER than they are supposed to.
Anyway, back to ur original question, I believe Autos are supposed to finish at the same times regardless of indoor/outdoor, though when outdoor you have much less control over factors such as temp, water, humidity etc and these can very much prolong the flowering stage, SO yes they should finish at the same time indoor/outdoor given that outdoor is the ideal growing climate but chances are it wont be so will probs end up being longer.

Phew. Hope that kinda helped... Maybe it didn't!!

Peace
