I have personally grown autos last year now to me i see a number of people stating RUDERALIS wrecks all the good genetics in good strains.. This be true? Many Complaints about taste, potency, yield.. FILL ME IN any experienced regular gender growers swapped over to autos? i get too excited when i see them plants cropping out in 3+months.. WORTH THE TIME OF DAY OR?

im still a newb. but to me they seem like a good beginner plant because they can go all the way through on a 12/12 light schedule. the yield and quality of the yield all seem to depend on the time and effort you put into em. but they seem good for a beginner grow. im expecting some fruit-auto seeds this week :D

Well since you have grown autos personally for the last year, you should already have the answers you seek.

I've grown the auto ak47, white russian, and diesel ryder.

-Yield is fine acceptable, as long as you plant the seeds directly into their permanent home. I've averaged around 30-40 grams per plant.
-There is definitely a distinct ruderalis taste, it's kind of perfume like, also what gets me is the smell. Every auto harvest I've had ended up with a strong cat pee/ammonia smell. My normal non auto harvests smell and taste great.
-potency is great, I've only gotten high potency results.

So, the only bad thing in my opinion is the smell. It smells great in the jar, but once you start to break up a bud you get that smell of ammonia. I've told myself that I'll never grow autos again for this reason. It's still really great pot, but I'd rather put a little more time in and get a great tasting and smelling experience.

Im in the middle of making some autoflowers using TGA as male parents. the pheno's that do autoflower will be bred together then back crossed for better quality.

Like someone already said. You should know what they're like if youve 'personally' grown them yourself. Sounds like a load of porky pies.

She looks great and at 21 days showing signs of sex. i dont know if autos ever grow to be male but she is def a female and i cant wait till shes ready to harvest. i wanna test her out but like yall have said it smells like cat piss... i want nothing to do with it lol.

Hey guys. Good luck on your grows. I'm a little confused on the dark before the harvest. Do you put your plants in the dark when the clear tricombs are clear and foggy with 2/3 of white hairs having turned brown or you cut and harvest them at that point.?

I'm growing the dinafem Critical+ auto and the standard photoperiod. I can definitely see the difference in the genetics. The photoperiod plant is just owning the garden and the auto, which is under a different lighting schedule for maximum growth, just looks sick. It'll probably give me decent bud but the photoperiod is miles ahead of it in looks and general health. Also, I've beaten the hell out of the photoperiod, just to be clear. It's just a tough plant. I highly doubt I'll ever do another auto.
