Growing shrooms is fairly simple depending on the strain, how old/viable the spores are and how clean you can do things. Pressure cooker is key. Making a sealed clean box with some Lysol spray before working also helps. One the spawn is inoculated, contamination isnt as big of an issue. Once a solid grain spawn is going you can do tissue culture which has less chance of contaminating. They even sell pre sterilized grain bags now with self healing injection ports. All you do is sterilize the needle, inject and shake. You can even buy premixed sterilized medium for diff types of mushrooms.
