Autoflower, ready for flush?

Hi,

I just flushed for the first time, and am now wondering if I mightve started too early. I read that dying/yellowing leaves is a sign it's near its end, that's why I decided to flush.

My trichomes are ~1% amber, with 10% brown pistils. ~65 days old. below the canopy there's barely any amber or brown pistils.

strain is Royal Jack Auto, using terra grow & bloom. ph water and runoff are ~6.4

so yeah.. Did I flush too early?

I agree you have a month at least before they're even close to ready. And no need to flush home skillet.

You have about 3-4 weeks left. She's still bulking, get back on the feeding schedule. FYI, the whole flushing 2 weeks straight is bullshit, 75% of the shit I've learned via forums has turned out to be false. You only need to flush heavy once and measure your PPM on the last runoff.

First signs of rot, time to chop! Works for me! Lol! At least then shes mature enough to chop! I flush the toilet and hope thats enough! Grow her to death! Only another opinion, take it for what its worth. Best grows are still to come. Best wishes Sog!

There's a lot of information out there, with everyone giving different answers because they have different preferences and had a different experience. For a new grower, or at least me, it is so so difficult to understand the harvesting process with all these different answers going around

Thanks. Yeah. As said in my previous reply, so many varying answers

You'll just know when they're ready. My biggest mistake when I began was harvesting too early. Having patience is biggest key. Wait until your buds look swollen like this. Each strain differ but they all swell up when it's harvest time

and for some people literally shitting on my question and my inexperience; can you also make me understand better why it's too early to harvest? Why not to flush?

Please understand that, to me, you are just more different people, with different advice. I don't know if what you all are saying is true. The only thing that separates you from the previous people that have given me bad advice, is your fucking attitude.
I'm asking for help here, no need to make fun of me

Relax guy, I just gave you a before and after. That's a reason why you should wait and believe it or not. I'd assume proof is in the photo/pudding.

Yeah, your replies help me, and am grateful. Just venting off to some others in this thread..

From what I understand, there's no need to predict 2 weeks in advance if she'll be ready or not, since flushing can be done once or twice heavy in 1-2 days (?).

So I can just check if ready, instead of predicting, and use your pictures as basic reference

Thank you

The plant won’t be potent if you harvest to early, it produces thc as it matures. Older people or people who read a lot years ago would flush or stop feeding for a couple weeks towards the end, there’s now research that says you don’t need to flush, experiment yourself and see what you like. A lot of people ask this question that’s why some people joke but they mean well. I’m going to experiment again myself

Why is it too early to harvest? Simply because it's not ready. The majority of resin and THC production occurs in the plants calyx. The part of the plant where you see the pistils coming out of.

At the point of the plant's life where yours are they are not mature. They will have a SIGNIFICANTLY reduced amount of what you are trying to harvest. Harvesting early can also result in inferior product smell and appearance. Chopping early and drying will make your flower smell like hay instead of how it should properly smell.

As for flushing. It's not necessary. It does nothing but start to force the plant to cannibalize itself at the end of your grow. It's something akin to starving a cow before slaughter claiming the meat will taste better. Instead of a better tasting cow you are only making it skinny.

I get why people think it'd be a joke to harvest now, because I agree they don't look anywhere near ready, but the 2 weeks in advance flushing made me estimate how much the plant would grow in those 2 weeks.. I can't estimate that. I'm way too inexperienced. but yeah, I tried.

thanks for the reply
