You dont need to go to 12/12 with autoflower, no veg time. You can run lights 24/0 from seed to Finnish if you wish.

Some people use a 20/4 light cycle some use a 18/6 light cycle.

I use 18/6 i have 7 autos going right now and they look great.

So you don't have to switch from veg lights to flower lights w/autoflowers? And can feminized autoflowers be hermies? I have a budding, fragrant plant with what looks like balls where the leaf stems join the main stalk ... ???

Autos just don't need a photoperiod change to flower. They still need to shift to 2700k when they do flower, and to go to flowering nutes. Seed cos talk about 9 or 10 weeks seed to harvest, but that is mostly hoakum. They are faster than photoperiod but not as fast as advertised. You still harvest when the trichs tell you to.

Oh well, the difference in CFL is the only difference between my veg and flower box. My brother told me to wait to harvest until 50% of the tri's turn amber. But, I just read, in a couple of different articles, the the peak THC is when the tri's turn milky with maybe just a few amber. Which is it?

It's when trichs are 25-50% amber and that's based on an average of samles taken from several places around the plant. Generally, bud harvested at 25% amber will be more of a head high and later will be more of a body high.
