Autoflower lights

Just wondering how i should grow my autoflower. Should i run it under my led veg light until i see preflowers then swjtch to my flower tent for 12 and 12. I dont really want to run my flowering lights longer as i have regular plants flowering in there and am only growing 1 autoflower from barneys

Why don't you just keep it under the veg lights? Autos shouldn't need 12/12.

Just wondering if they need a different light spectrum once they go into flower

I wouldn't think so, out in nature how much does the spectrum change during an autoflower's cycle? But even if it would help, won't the plants in your flower room be done before the auto? Most resin production is in the last few weeks, so putting them in there when the regs are done shouldn't hurt.

Have all diferent stages in my flower room so it doesnt really matter

Running Autoflowers and photos at the same time is tough as they have different requirements...If you're going to try..I recommend starting your Auto first...20/4 light cycle..then in the last month your photos are finishing you can chuck in your photoperiods..that way when you wind down to 12/12 everything has the right light cycle.

I've had a fair amount of experience with Autoflowers...Toss conventional light cycles used for photos out the window.

You want to build as much structure on the plant as fast as you can before it begins to flower..which is usually after 3-5 weeks. Autos are like race cars..hard and fast.

If you've only got the one light, keep on veg and bloom..I realize veg= blue , bloom= red..but you're really trying to keep photosynthesis running while you have time.

Hey toad thanks. I do have a 24 hr veg tent and a 12/12 flower twnt both going all year

Can i just throw it in my veg for awhile then throw into my flower for the last month. I guess i could put a time in my veg tent and go 20/4

Two tents will be a big help..

Keep the Auto on with 20 hour of light, if not more...If you're looking to conserve space for number of plants you can keep in photo period tent until you throw photos into 12-12...
You can put Autos in flower tent with 12-12 but plants will be less productive..

Key is Autos are flexible (but on a predetermined lifecycle)..you step outside the light cycle lines and output will suffer, where as you muck with a photos light and all sorts of things can happen..including Hermies..which are certainly possible with autos too.

Thanks. Im used to hermies.lol. i run small veg and flower tents. 2x2 and 4x2. Just want to try and get some decent autos. U have any recommendations for an auto for outdoors. I hate trying tonfinish plants outside here on the wet coast of canada.pic of some of my greenhouse. Toon the tops of a couple
