Autoflower grow pattern

Do autoflower plants grow to the desired height and then flower out to buds or does the flower process start when the plant is still growing in height??? Please help guys I'm growing my first auto and would like to have the answer that question.

They start flowering around week 3/4 generally. Youll see flower deeloping at the same time as they stretch.

Ok thank you and what if flower has been happening for about a week now and a few of the white hairs have turned orange on the tips just a few not many

Pictures tell a thousand words...

They can go amber when they are damaged. Usually it’s a sign a maturation but 1 week into flower is early.

Pistol hairs are not the best indicator of maturity, these change colour for all sorts of reasons. From damage to age to genetics.

Same with secondary leaf colour. This can mean problems not maturity.

Best way to tell is get yourself a mag/scope and look at trichrome development. They start clear turn milky and eventually amber. You harvest somewhere between milky and amber depending on preference and strain information.

Get a picture up as mentioned before and it's easier to tell you what's going on.
