I love autos... Been growing them for a while now. They are very fun plants to watch grow.. my personal best is 26 grams of dry buds in one gallon pots(my worst was 17g.. I have a small grow cab with a 150hps.. works like a charm for autos. With the small space I have autos work for me and I think my buds are as dank as anything bought from the streets. I do plan on running sum photo plants soon but only cuz I have sum lemon skunk and sour ak beans I'm dying to pop.
I love autos and I don't understand why people always come in to the auto forums and want us to defend them... If u doubt autos then its simple don't grow them.. and don't come in here asking why we waste our time growing autos..ur not tending our gardens or smoking our buds so don't worry bout it.. lol.

Sorry mate for the attitude but i cant show you the picture and the quality was better than the most products in my area.Ruderalis plants grows in rough conditions and it dont need much light to flower.When i get the cable to put pics to net from cell then i can show you the picture too then you maybe realize thats no joke

Why grow Autos???? It honestly doesnt take much longer to grow a normal plant, stop waisting your times

just throwing in my 2cents.
I started out with autos, their cool. But I prefer BUSHES.
My autos all usually take around 80days from seed I mean what another month or so I could have a plant 3 times the size.
I've never been impressed with an auto's yield...
I now just throw them in the veggie garden outback in between the tomatoes and cucumbers I prefer not to waste my tent on them but that's just me. The way I grow is I veg my plants way longer than most just to get em big and bushy and have a nice harvest. But others prefer quicker plants that don't take up as much space so you could have more per sq/ft. all in preference, just take care of whatever plant you grow and she will take care of you regardless of her flowering style.

I agreee with something 'sixteenounces' has said in a previous post, he mentioned that yes photo period strains can get better yield, but you cant beat autos in yield per unit time.

IE you may get a much bigger yield off a well vegged photo strain, but if you look at grams of finished product per day of growing, you really cant beat autos.

I got 25 grams dry off 1 plant, in a 3 litre pot on my first grow under 150ish watts of CFL, in 68 days. Shove that in your pipe and smoke it.

(too late I already have :bigjoint:)

gotta agree in my small setup i get 1 finished plant every 2 weeks so the weight really starts to add up! Plus a different flavor each time cant beat it . I used to do reg photo period plants .but not in the last 3 years autos work out to well.
But thats me and the space i have ! But as long as you have something thats what matters .

You can't clone an autoflower...I mean you can but the clone won't really make anything...if it makes anything at all...autoflowers are like a clock ticking down the time, so you don't want to interfere with them...with a photo it is worth it to remove a branch and take the time for 2 newer ones to fill back in...with an autoflower you don't have the time...but then again from seed to harvest is less than the flowering time on most photo plants. I like photos, and all I know about autos is what I have found reading about them, but I have some ordered and I am just waiting for them to arrive and then I can begin learning firsthand...Hooray! I think they sound neat.

I have a few different photo strains I plan to keep growing...I just need something in between. Cuz I like sativas, but they do make ya wait...and everytime I buy I get totally ripped off, so I gotta stop having spaces of time in between harvests where I have no smoke...so to fix that I am getting some autoflowers...I figure I can put them under the 400 and let them do their thing while the other phot plants are vegging long enough to give me better yields...it has been a vicious cycle...I hurry everything because I dont want to wait...thus I get less end product and have to hurry the next time too...I need a time buffer and they seem to me to be the best answer...

My thoughts exactly! autos are awesome Im not knocking them at all, I grow them. BUt personally don't rely on them for my big harvest, their more or less something fun to throw in the garden or corner of tents to supplement your grow and give you something to toke on before your others finish!

Thats a good point, if you have a small set up, you only need 1 space to do a perpetual harvest as you only need one light cycle

ya i have a veg box , plus a tent that does 3 plants, weeks 8-9 is one, week 6- 7another ,then weeks 4-5 another .then one in veg box , thats all i need !!!

hell yea thats what I love about bud man we all have different was of growing and styles yet in the end BADABOOM super dank nug! You keep a perpetual going I just do one or two big ones a year and that usually lasts me, although lately its been getting so addicting I just can't stop lol.

@Barney-Hey..A question
Since you've grown auto's,
"Does the auto strain require MORE HPS light?, or MH light? is it the same as a photo-period plant, where you BEGIN with the MH light ,18/6 then once bushy and healthy-switch up to the hPS light." What's the BEST light and TIMEAFRAME for the auto strain?
ALSO "Do I start the auto's on an 18/6 light schedule for 4 weeks THEN switch it to 12/12 light?-growing for the duration at that (12/12) light schedule?
This will be my first grow-I'll have 5 feminized auto's. Jock Horor. I'll use it for pain relief.
I have a 175watt HPS only-and a 250 watt MH/HPS combo light.I'm trying to determine which one to use...(I've got a 2ft squareX 5 ft high tent)

Now, my math may be off, but if the auto is 14% THC concentration, and the photoperiod plant has 19%; wouldn't that be a difference of closer to 20%? There's a 4 percentage point difference in concentration, which means 20% relative THC difference.

Ask and you shall receive. This pic is around day 60. Auto Critical Jack Dinafem, 3 Gal pot, hardly any nutes(never got over half strength) It spent the first 40 days under 250w worth of CFL's and then spent the next 20 under a 600w hps. The buds are solid, sticky, stinky, and coated in trichs.
