I still see questions all the time asking, "is this male?".

It'll be all balls, literally. I gave my friend an regular auto blue mystic seed from Nirvana and it turned out to be male.Sorry.

How would u guys judge when to harvest by the hairs?? U know the best way is by the tric's but some ppl do it by the hairs.

if i did not have 30x scope just look at the plant an they have like a golden hue about it,someone has pics on riu of it i will try an find it,the thing with hairs there is certain things that could change there colour like climate touching your buds pollenation an a few other things,
an i think some ladies keep white hairs through out,the way i would do it would be to read breeder description say it say 60 day from seed i would chop at 70 days providing you had no probs through the grow,
i am not sure it auto's work the same way but seing you had probs frenchy yours could be set back by approx 2 weeks just a guess so you may have to give it a extra week or 2 by as said i am not to sure giving that auto's only have a certain life/time scale,
could be that they still go to the same age just yeild would be drastically affected jus my 2 pennies

i've been trimming for 12 hours non stop so please bear with me.
we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

notice the difference? it's pretty easy to see once it occurs.

The way we used to do it was wait for 75% of the hairs to turn red and recede back into the calyxes but it's not as reliable as a weedscope that's at least 30x magnification.

so i had an emergency this morning, lights went off at 4 am like scheduled, but never came back on, i checked around noon and realized the problem.
i found that my 400w lumatek digi ballast had a blown fuse so i replaced it with a spare they put in there, and when i plugged it in again... it blew!
so i had no clue what to do, i called the guy at the hydro store the ballast was purchased from
he asked me to bring it in so i did
he told me they will probably honor their warranty and upgrade me to the new dimmable ones...
he ALSO let me borrow a 400w hps magnetic ballast ot hold me by for the 1-2 weeks he said the replacement would take
MY hydro store guy is THE MAN
i will never go any where else for my supplies with this kind of customer service
this is the second time he saved my grow

UPDATE on my super cali haze well after 10-12 days of being stunted,my fault i kept her in a little ass pot for 23 days i transplanted her an i stunted her now she is 37 days an has been growing real fast for the last week an she has also shown her pistols we got hairs baby,
which i did not think i would see yet due to stunting an the fact that it is 110 days from seed to flower,
so am i gonna have about 90 days of flowering,have they got there time scale mixed up or have i got a differant seed than on the packet,
she is in 3 gallon pot now an she is loving it also she has been on 24/0 light schedule so well impressed that she is indeed flowering,i thought she would produce hairs on 18/6 but there you go i will do weekly or every 3-4 day updates now seens that she is growing,i am back in the race be prepared people lol any way here she is not epic pics but i am so proud of her
she is about 12-14 inch tall but now she growing again i will catch up with you guys an she is also flowering so the growth rates will be phenominal
