I know sumone looking to start a 20 plant op under 2 600w in a 2m x 2m space and was wondering if this would be a good choice for a newbie...and does 4 oz per plant seem optimistic using this method?? any replys much appreciated;-)

Hi,

I'm planning to run a small Autopot setup myself. From what I have read, it is better to get multiple single pot systems as the ones with 2 pots are a bit cramped if you want a larger harvest.

Sorry I can't help out more I am also looking for information on this. You should try forums with more UK or Oz posters as the Autopot system originates from Oz itself. Most of the time the growers are using a combination of perlite/coco with good results.

Also, there are some accessories you should consider getting such as water pump/air stone for the res as well as an air cage for the pots itself. That will help improve on the system.

Hope you found this useful.

I have just transplanted my clones into my new auto pot set up....2day..... I found some fabulous reviews on them on various grow sites... I just googled auto pots and found them... Then I went and brought some,,I'm starting with 4 single pots which I brought from my local hydro shop ( I'm in Aus so they are not hard to get hold of ,but I think you can order them on line),,,,and am planning on adding another 4.. I have a 3m x3m ish room and 2x 600w sodium's and one 400w .. I was a little confused about how to get them started but I think I worked it out... I am thinking I'll start a grow journal tonight....
I have chosen an auto pot set up for many reasons... my 1st indoor grow was in soil,my 2nd was a hydro set up with the run off going into small reservoirs, which I watered EVERY day manually and emptied the reses every other day,it was a load of work.... I like to grow fairly large plants 5/6 ft,,so I think the auto pots are great for that as you can move them around.... I found that the uncovered reservoirs in the room made it a bit too humid and I found that I was wasting loads of nutes and water and wanted a more conservative hydro method..... I'll post some pics :^)

I have only plugged 3 of the 4 pots in so far

my friend used them once but said he yielded much lower due to the pots being smaller but he did say they all grew nice and same speed and height just remember to give them a dry period between filling tank also
