sup guys. just got a batch of seeds and one was a free auto, NLX Diamond Auto. never grown auto before but figured i'd give it a shot...

i know nothing about autos as far as if there is any difference from normal photoperiod plants. anyways, what i'm asking is... is there any advice? the seed site says it will be ready to harvest in 8 weeks, which is surprising to me.

anyways, what hours of light should i use? and any other advice? thanks!

you should ask this in the autoflower section not advanced growing someone might get upset with you ;)

the only difference between autos and photos is that autos flower regardless of a light cycle so 24/0 , 18/6, 12/12, 10/14 it doesnt matter what matters more is the days like most other plants think tomatoes, carrots, morning glories . so indoors id say run your seedlings under 24/0 cfl till they get big enough to throw under an hps and try to start them in the final pot theyll be inif possibpe, less transplant shock less chance for ruining your yield then just go
and expect to harvest 70-80 from seed 8 weeks may be a little early

auto will want looser soil (add more perlite/hydrostone, etc) prefer to be dryer, light... youll think "I'm underwatering" you're not. 1/4 of normal level of nutes, or you'll fry her. LST is recommended as they dont get big, you want as much veg as u can, but never ever transplant. Direct seed to main grow pot. After a couple weeks, put the bloom bulb on her (you'll see the flowers) Keep her at the 20/4 lighting, the more light it gets the better. Never 12/12 an auto.

(Basically, its a freebie 1/2oz that blooms in your veg room) Small yield, but fast seed to harvest time. 8-10 weeks total from germination to smoking.

Definitely browse the autoflower section before jumping in....
