Hello to all! Starting up a new mini grow to complement my much larger RDWC grow I've got going. I needed a little side project so here we go.

Strain - Auto Jack Herer x White Widow
Grow medium - 10 gallon DWC tote
Light - 2' (4) bulb T5
Nutes - Advanced Nutrients pH perfect line
Monitoring - Nutra-Dip Tri-Meter model 202 (pH, ppm, temp)

DAY 1

A couple days ago I germed my little bean using the paper towel method. She has since popped, grown a tap root and has been inserted into the rockwool plug. I like to place the plug right into the clay pebbles as soon as the seed goes into it, the only thing I do after that is top water until the roots hit the res. Inside the 10 gallon tote that is my bubble bucket I've got (4) airstones providing copious amounts of oxygen to the res. I added a little water level gauge on the side of the tote so I can constantly monitor the level without having to take out the net pot. As I will be doing DWC, I have a brand new tri-meter all ready to go which gives me 24/7 real time monitoring of my pH, ppms, and nutrient solution temperature. The light source is a 2' (4) bulb T5 Envirogrow from Hydrofarm. It pales in comparison to my 600w air cooled reflector I've got going in the big tent, but for a mini-grow I think it'll work out just fine!

Now my plans for this grow are simple. She will be grown until she has 4-5 sets of leaves, topped, and then scrogged. As my tent is only 36" in height, there will be a fair amount of training involved as she grows and subsequently stretches during flower, but I don't think I'll have any issues keeping her short and bushy. I haven't grown an auto in quite some time, but I'm gonna run her 24/0 from seed to finish. I know everyone has different opinions on autoflowering light schedules, but 24/0 is how I do it.

She should be poking her head out of that rockwool in the next day or so, and then it's game on! I'll get into my feeding routine and plant care as she starts to grow. I like to keep as up to date and informative as possible when I document a grow, it's a great way for me to keep track of things and gives everyone else a chance to see what I've got going on. If anyone has any questions regarding how I set up my system or how I grow, please feel free to ask away! And if you like what you see, stay tuned, the next few months should be pretty interesting.

Last but not least if anyone has any interest in seeing my main grow, it's in the DWC section under "Girl Scout Cookies RDWC Scrog Grow." Enjoy!
