auto-flowers

I ordered AK-48,and white Buddha autoflowers.Couple of questions,Do I start under hps or start with MH,then after couple of weeks switch to HPS.How bout nutes,use just flower nutes or use veg too.my basement gets kinda cold round 45 or 50 is this too cold to grow,I know i know it is alot of questions but any help would be great thanks

I would go with mh for veg and hps for bud.

Listen I'm growing autos and the best bet is to veg under fluorscents and then when you see flowers starting put them under hps. But if you are on a hid setup Metal halide is the best but you will be switching you bulb in 3 weeks. And as far as nutrients I used veg for 3 weeks and then a 1 to 7 ratio for the rest of the grow. One thing to remember is these plants are kinda small so don't go crazy with nutrient. I ran 600 ppm the whole lot till week 6. Now I'm running 900 ppm for the last 2 weeks and then drop to 300ppm and flush with water for a few days. And the temps are not good the plants will not grow good at 45-50...if you have a tent then the light will raise the temps when the lights are on but then a small space heater will need to keep the temps above 60...good growing that's my two cents

i would start and finish with HPS but u gotta get ur temps up a bit before u think about growing anything

i grow autos i use a hps the entire grow i have a journal up now you can see the whole thing you have to get temps up use flowering nutes and 20/4 or 18/6 i use 18/6 myself look at the strain you have and what the breeder says for the strain i germ and put in final pot no transplanting hope this help i love autos

Autos are powerfull little plants I use flor for veg as well then swith to hps. I start my seedlings with clonex seedling formula for first week and half and slowly start applying nutes and by week 4 full nutes.

Be aware that autos, as well as any other seedling, are sensitive to nutes.....I use NONE for 2-3 weeks of my autos life....and they are started in nuteless soil under T5.....Most people who have problems with autos, or any other, have the wrong approach and belief in nutes.....I grow dank ......being very conservative works like a charm.
Autos can be grown under hps the whole time as long as you watch your temps and ventilation....
