Auto flowering strains

Will it take 8 weeks from germination to harvest outdoor?
yah-no

auto flowers are one of those weird plants .......it could be counted more as weed
see a auto plant will grow for as long as it has the right amount of food offered to it when it feels like the food amount is no longer good for veggie it auto flips into a flower (not needing the light waves to trigger it like photo's)

the timing that the breeder tells u is a dialed in indoor system (indoor systems will always out do outdoor for the fact indoor is mimicking the best possible day outdoor but u get all of them prefect days )

outdoors u could be 10 weeks to 12 weeks .....indoor might be 8 weeks if u hit every marker but honestly u want them to go longer so they thicken up more (we do not have it dialed in for the strain so the amounts they pull in that short time we can not do it not until u know the strain and learn to feed it/mix up soil perfectly)

i figured this out the hard way

i did a hydro but i messed up and offered it about 10 times the normal amount of food i had it in veggie for 54 days until i figured it out and changed it .......since then i been working on getting a soil correct for a auto .....but the strain variable makes the soil always needs to be tweaked for it

i just had 2 plants do 32 veggie 2 different strains but the 3rd did 45 days diff strain all the same light soil and feed/water

Didn't think nutes had anything to do with when they will start to flower. As I'm currently growing autos I've been doing a lot of reading up on them and have seen nothing about them staying in veg until you switch to a flowering part. The way you say "I had it in veggie for 54 days until I figured it out and changed it" implies that it's possible to control the veg time? Is that what your saying? On that note, I've not seen anything about controlling veg time and/or inducing flowering by changing nutrients for any type of cannabis plant.

From what I've read and the experience on my grow it will flower when it's ready and if you continued veg nutes it would end up with Nitrogen toxicity. Mine began flowering while I was using veg nutes and i waited a week and then transitioned to bloom nutes.

In answer to OPs question, It's a general rule that they'll go at least 2 weeks past what the seed info says, Could go as far as 4,5 weeks past what it says. Lots of things can play a part.... strain, genetics, growing conditions, stress. If you have an 8 week deadline then I wouldn't make any promises.
