Auto flowering hybrid seeds

I have a packet of auto flowering Kush X Diesel seeds, given to me by a friend...He told me all I had to do was plant it in half decent soil and give it some water each day, and within 8 weeks I should have a harvestable plant...

Is this really enough care and maintenance to get a smokable crop from these seeds***

WHat are the very basic instructions for making these magic seeds grow...And I mean cheapest and least time consuming...

Cheap.. grow with compact fluorescent lights in Miracle Grow Organic Choice dirt (readily available, not too expensive). Your lights need to be the 'warm' variety. 2700 or fewer lumens.Lights on for 18 hours, off for 6. If you need cheap stealth, put a cardboard box over the whole thing with white spray paint in it. You'll want maybe 4 42 watt cfl's and can get them at home depot or such. That's a cheap setup. Again, if stealth is needed, odor control is a must, too. My opinion.. hang onto the seeds a week or two and read some grows on here. I suggest you start in the cfl forum under indoor grows or the 'grow journal' section. You'll get ideas and do what's right for you.

Also.. if you have good freedom, just plant those in big planter pots outside in a bright spot.. Make sure they're watered, but not overwatered. Done.

Cheers for the clear and helpful advice, mate...I live in a flat, on the 8th floor, so have no garden area, or outside area to use presently, though I may be moving in a month to a place with a garden..but then there is the puppy, who may find such a new plot of soil and unearth the seedlings.

It sounds like I need to purchase some lighting in order to get the seeds into a smokable state. I will do some more research, as you have suggested and report back when I take the plunge.

Hey mate I would just say to invest in organic soil for now and also a 15watt hps kit. Cause then you can benefit from getting big fat dense buds and I'd u need to make somemoney bak sell some of the nug

How much would such a set up cost*** and how easy to maintain***

if ur only going to use 150 watts then might as well go with 4x42 watt cfl's. HPS will generate some substantial heat if u dont have a small closet or growing area. Find out what size ur growing in and THEN establish what sort of lighting will suit your needs as well as how many plants u could then grow well. Measure your space and also take into account ventilation and odor control. Many things should be whacked out first before you go spending cabbage on an HPS.

P.S. I flowered 2 plants of unknown strain but they were joint dr. auto dwarf mixes. I used 2x65 watt CFLs and a single 42 watt CFL and turned the plants daily and got 1.5 oz dry of good hard hitting sativa bud.
