AUTO - Flowering clones question

I was unable to find info on this particular question so hopefully someone can help me out.

Unknown/bagseed sativa started growing really fast and producing buds within 7-8 weeks under 18/6 lighting, so regretted not taking clones for a mother, took 3 clones that were already budding, now that one ( 5" tall) has taken root, will it go back to veg under 24 or 18 hrs of light or will the clone just keep flowering and give me a 1g nug?

if its a true autoflowering plant the clone will just keep budding...

Im not sure if it is a "true" autoflower, however it did start budding quite fast under 18 / 6 , nothing else in the room started to flower till about a week after 12/12. Guess ill find out, mabye i can top it where the bud is, and it will grow big enough to get some more clones from? ... hmmmm

Or you could wait until Harvest time , when you cut it down , leave some lower growth , re-veg , and regrow...

The only way to know for sure is to try it.

Some strains really don't need all that much darkness to flower, especially once the plants get older.

Yea thats kind of what i was thinking, its going wayyy faster than my WW, and looks to be a nice yield for such a small pot. So hopefully this baby takes off and I can start a small family . Mabye ill post some pics when she gets interesting . Appreciate the help guys!

you can't clone true auto-flowers. i've tried. if the strain is auto that means it isn't photo-sensitive and retains the age of the plant.

the only way to know is to toss them back into veg and see what happens.

I know that it can be done, but I'm against cloning after flower starts. It also makes no sense to clone a true auto-flowering plant, because the life cycle is too short. The time it would take it to root, recover from the shock, and start growing again your end result wouldn't be worth your time. That's if you even got through it with out producing hermies.
