Thanks for re-reading but No. "germinated from seed using previous grows FF Happy Frog soil 4 weeks ago." then, "i transplanted to a 3 gal bag in fresh Happy Frog ~10 days ago."
I realize the previous soil would be depleted of nutrients but I thought it would be fine to germinate the seed and get it started knowing i would repot.
You should really try not to transplant autos. Pick the pot you want to finish in and start your seed in that pot, full of fresh soil. I personally didnt like happy frog. I like to mix it with ocean forest. About 70% ocean forest to 30% happy frog.

I didnt know that. Ive read to start in small pots then repot as it grows but maybe what i read didnt apply to autos. Ive also read that fresh soil like HF is too nute rich for a seedling but maybe when mixed like you mention its ok. I also have a Phishwreck photo seedling that is in a quart sized pot that i planned to repot after it gets 4 or 5 nodes on it. Should I put that in my finish pot size as well?

I like to go from solo cup, to 2 gallon, then to 5 gallon with my photoperiods. Everyone says ff is a hot soil yes, ive never had issues with it. I like to mix half of a 2 cu. ft. bag of happy frog with one 1.5 cu. ft. bag of ocean forest, and then like 8-12 quarts of perlite. Seems to work well for me. No nutes for about 15 days

I've never grown Autos and have been studying and reading up on it as i have a few seeds of Autos I'd like to try soon, one tip I picked up on is to plant the seed in the pot it's gonna finish in. Not much room for error with autos, and you don't really have much time for them to recover from anything when their in Veg, like something that might happen during transplanting.

I hate the idea of planting in the final container. I've always uppotted all my plants, auto and photo alike.

From my experience with auto's it is not as bad to make a mistake as people make it out to be. It just depends on when you make that mistake.

If you fjck up before the plant is mature. It just stops what it is doing. Waits till you get your shit solved and then carries on normally. Just behind schedule.

I messed up and stunted for 2 or 3 weeks. To much light. So I'm 3 weeks behind. Day 90 on some autos that should be harvested at day 90 and I got 8 weeks left.

But if you do something after the plant has matured and started to flower. Well then sorry you get a little plant.

I broke the root on the middle plant and extreme stunted it. That plant has 8 weeks or more to go. You can not even see it because the other 2 flowered 5 weeks before it. They are all autos.

I just transplanted 2 nine day old Auto's yesterday. I use the same method for all my plants. Water the day before and transplant the following day when the soil isn't quite as moist. You have to judge for yourself though. Then just squeeze the solo cup on the sides a bit, just to loosen. Flip cup over with seedling between your fingers and hand holding the dirt, press on bottom of cup with some loose appendage, flip it lightly into pre dug hole. I keep the solo in the soil like a lot of other people until it's time to transfer. Makes it easier.

No pics of the transfer roots, but at 9 days they were pretty full to the sides and bottom already.

10 days from tap. They've already responded positively in a day.

I follow the same overall path when i transplant and use an empty cup to form a matching hole in the larger pot for the plant but i prep/do that when i decide to transplant. But... do you mean you pre-fill your larger pot with soil and an empty cup days/weeks in advance and have it ready in standby mode for the eventual transplanting or do you mean you put the cup your seedling is growing in into the larger pot with soil as it is grows then just slide the cup out, remove the plant and set it in the formed hole when its time to transplant? Hope im asking this the right way bc my head semi-exploded trying to ask it!

Nice. What type of nutes and how often did you change the water?
I didn't really keep track. Just kinda topped it up with water and diluted nutes I was feeding the 2 bigger ones(PH Perfect). Molasses may have been involved at one point or another as well as the odd water exchange (tap @ 7.8 PH). Just messed around to see what would happen really. I like to experiment with shit.

I really like your setup! What kind of irrigation system is that? What size pots and medium are you growing in? Is your 90 days later photo in those same pots?
I have a reservoir outside the tent. Tent is elevated about 1 foot from the ground so water drains back into the res. I plumbed a sink drain into the tub and then reduced that down to a 3/4 hose that returns to the res. Drains slow but that is fine for my set up.

There is a pump in the res, pump turns on every 30 or 40 min for about 5 seconds. Pots use watering halos from Amazon and the hose is 1/2" inside.

I don't know the pot size but probably around 3 gallons. They are filled with expanded clay and have some coco fiber mats layered in them so the roots spread out. It is not possible to repot. So they are in the same pots.

Res contains 10 or 12 gallons. I have it marked at 10 gallons but over fill it.
