aight just ordered 5 fem great white shark seeds for my next grow. 2 of them will be hitting the dirt on 2/11/08 or whenever mary is ready to be cut down. Planning on vegging for a month till 3/11/08 or till jane and sheba are ready to be harvested and then I'll cut the lights back to 12/12 I'm really excited for a new strain. Also not an auto flower strain I guess you could say this will be my first real grow of a true strain.

Sounds sick man, my WW grow will be running almost exactly same time as your new one

Ok new leaves are REALLY green with some slight yellow on the tips of them and the tips are still drooping down. So my question is should I wait on the flush till she needs to be watered or will it really matter. The soil is as wet as it can get down near the bottom but in the middle its like at the 8 on the meter still really wet. I am not doing anything till I hear back just let her sit. Haven't sprayed her since then so hopefully she will be making a full recovery soon

hehe ye we do.

If its looking ok then i would prob wait until the soil is a bit dryer. If it cant breath then that prob would be less helpfull.

Remember man I have hardly any experience so my advice should be taken with a pinch of salt. Its just what i would do in your position.

Any pics of this new growth?

I'm in the same boat with you man. This is just my second grow and of the same strain I grew the first so this is all a learning game for me. First for soil to last time was hydro. Soil is a bit easier to start out on so thats why I switched back.

Ok light and filter are here and set up temps still haven't dropped but to 88 with the doors shut to keep it light proof. The fan is mounted way higher than the light but I ran out of horizontal room so I had to. I put my hand on the end of the hood that the air sucks through and it was doing a great job even with all the twists. It made the light hood to where you could touch it with the light on. I'll post pics tommorrow

I guess the room needed a chance to completely cool off with the light off and everything, cause this morning I check and temps are maintaining at 83-84 with the doors shut. The new growth I was talking about is turning yellow also. The soil is still really really wet though I don't know how much longer I should wait. She has had a growth spurt so maybe in the next couple days I can flush her. Post pics tonight

u may wanna try to get the temps down a little more or add c02...with that u can run higher temps without damaging the plants

If you can open the door to the tent and get an extra fan pointing in there to try and dry the soil a bit more.

Hmm what tent are you using? Did you use it on your old grow. I ask because ive heard of a tent make which with a HID light inside they release a poison to the plants and kills them.

No tent yet its in a closet with contractor trash bags on the inside of the door to make it light proof. Temps are still in the 90's range I can't believe I just spent all this money on trying to cool things down and it does nothing.

Is there a way to do a diy c02 I've spent so much money already on this to still have the same temps.

I also think the soil I am using isn't getting very good drainage I've been poking around in there to make sure but the meter still says really wet.

Here are some pics of the setup. No close ups of the plants camera sucks and I don't feel like moving them around to do it with the webcam. The temps went back up tonight to around 90 I don't understand all the fan did was cool the hood I want it to cool the room no just the hood.

Hmm best thing i can think of is get an AC in there, there must be cheapo ones about.

Otherwise the only thing you can do is get more ventilation.

I really don't think I am going to spend the money on any more fans though it would make my power bill even worse to. I'm thinking maybe to big of a spot to cool down for the fan. Maybe with the grow tent being smaller me being able to put the fan on the outside right next to the exhaust I'll be able to regulate things better. The tent is only like 30 cubic feet and the 4" fan is rated for 170cfm so that should be good enough I would think.

What up everyone? This morning I checked on the ladies and am happy to say I think she is rebounding from her yellowing the new growth has almost no yellow tips and if there is its only one like one or two tips. Sad to say the leaves are still lime green though. I don't think she is going to need the flush though. It has been almost 2 weeks since I watered her last and I don't want to wait that long again.

I figured out what the problem was anyways it was a calcium and magnesium deff. Went to lowes picked up some organic fertilizer with the 15 main nutrients and put it as top dressing in the potters. N.P.K. of 6-6-4 and I will be watering with a half dose of the flower power with an N.P.K. of 1-8-7.

Jane and Sheba are looking pretty good coming along slowly as they all do this part of their life. The light is pretty far away from these little girls though. I think it is like 27" away. Mary on the other hand is about 18" away from the light. I don't want to move it up yet though and make Jane and Sheba stretch. I will just wait till they get taller.

Not really liking the node spacing on Mary though really far apart I was really wanting the ONE whole cola and not just spread around the main cola with stems showing and what not. I guess we will really see when she starts adding weight to those stems.
