Hi all. hope your grows going well. I have just the one fem. I've been away for just over a month, and in the last week or so, she's started to bud. Around the same time, the leaves have started to die. Going crispy on the ends to start with, then death follows swiftly. She's in full sun all day, but this has only happened in the last week or so. It looks like it's gettin burned. Any Ideas anyone?

it prolly is getting burned it could be heat stress or not enough water, nitrogen deficiency .... i assume ya havent over fertilized so well leave that one out.... what do you feed the plant. it could be nute burn tho derpends on what you use. and are ya sure ya not using too much

also the plant will lose some leaves sometimes once it goes to bud. wether its the ferts your using dont have enough nitrogen or the plant just doesnt need em who knows.

i reckn your best bet is heat stress tho..... the plant still looks healthy enough

using all purpose thrive. definately not using too much. could be from the sun. was going to change to a higher K next time i give nutes.
Will also build some shade and wait and see what happens. Just had a closer look. Allot of the new growth is biting it too. I'm a little concerned.

new growth or just where the heat could have got a bit to much for the new growth????

if you seriously dont think its nutes i wouldnt flush instead see how shading it goes.. and just go easy on the nutes.... and make sure its soil is decently moist all day and not drying out on the plant. this will cause your plant to look like yours

but if all else fails all i can suggest is a good ol flush,

hmm maybe check the stickies too they have some good plant problem diagnosis stickies and threads here :)
just in case your wrong and it could be a deficiency or something ;) i highly recommend ya checking it out

I've got home today. So don't know where it started. Will not nute for a while. N:27 P:5.5 K:9 Is thrive not the best thing to use then??
Is the n way too high? I thought too much n made the leaves go a sort of mottled yellow green?
What do you recomend?
The new growth inside and out is dieing. The plant looks very spindly. 5 weeks ago was looking very nice.

I'm going to lay right off the nutes for a bit. What should i use for flower cycle?

a deficency will induce yellowing......what you have is nute burn......

Nitrogen IS WAY WAY to high for flower... go and get a tomatoe based fert or african viloets fert...both have good ratio for bloom.. and are cheap ....

Go and get PK 13-14 from canna (alittle pricy) and some P-K bat guano as well and your set for flower...... as well as above.... use 1/2 of recommended for every thing..... after a rest of 2 weeks with ph`ed water

Bunnings for the first two...and any hydroponics shop will sell Pk 13-14 and you will have to find a big nursery for the bat gauno(make sure you getr the flowering version).... Im in syd i found it all no problem.....

ehy eza ya should have told him the basis behind it

the thrive is good for the veg phase

then what ya want to do is get something high in phosporous and potassium..
if he had any fire remains these would have sufficed. maybe use it with some other fertilizer that isnt quite as high in nitrogen as thrive. (potassium and phosphorous is what makes the buds grow bigger and what the plant needs during bud more.)

just use the fire remains and every now and then give it some extra ferts maybe.
