ATTITUDE VS. HERBIES

Okay so heres the deal... After A year break to attend to other business, I have once again got bitten by the grow bug.
I have grown mostly indoos the last 15 years. ( I love to grow outdoors to but up here in michigan the deer are as thick as skeeters, really, one harvest was nearly completely eaten by a mother and her yearlings, when I approached they were so stoned they literally kust kept eating , I had to make growling noises to scare them. Then pne yearling CAME BACK AND UPROOTED a six foot White Russian, that little shit gave me a look like a friend passing a fat hog leg , man WTF! ) Anyhow another story for another thread I suppose.
What we have here is a test order from The attitude and Herbies. Ordered the same day, same strains. Who gets here first? Both orders were placed June 18th.
Both orders were insured (guarantees) and tracked.
Strains ordered;
The Black/BCSB
Pineapple express/G13 Labs
Transiberian/Auto seed co.
NL#5XHaze/Sensi seed bank.
( My original intent was White Russian/Serious seed and Ghost train haze / Dank... these were both out but after some crafty emailing to said seed banks Ive learned more stock will be ready in September (Feminized) if those strains interest you).
All strains ordered zFem and I. Breeders pack but stealth shipping may have them removed.
Okay, well Order conformation was sent by both immediately, the next day (19th) herbies changed order status to shipped , they changed shipping method to standard (free, I paid £9.00 for guaranteed / express mail (roughly $15 American. Standard is free) . I emailed herbies and to my suprise they promptly emailed back the following day, the email went something like:;:;
Dear Customer,
We have experienced difficulties with express tracked mail. It is more closely inspected and looked at than standard mail.
Your order is still insured and should it not arrive by July 7th please contact us and we will resend the order.
If you wish us to refund your £9 please let us know and we will do so. However please note that your order will no longer be guaranteed.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please promptly reply and we can refund your money. Ifvtou would like to keep the guarantee let us know.
Thank you herbie.

Well to me that was issue resolved. Keep the guarantee and thank you for the offer to refund. I was satisfied with it:-D

Attitude also the 19th changed order to shipped and sent an email w/tracking #.
Today (22nd) it still was not recognized by royal mail or usps.

Thats okay tho as I have had orders show up and tracking #'s never track... shit happens......:fire:

Ive been wanting to do this test order for awhile and its nice to start this experiment. I will do a follow up order and dictate exact delivery times.... I will do a 3rd order in September when the strains I prefer become available.....:weed:

This will all be followed up by a :eyesmoke:comprehensive grow journa on
The strains ordered... I am lucky enough to be in a circle of friends who own dispensaries and the plan is to do a full plant profile on terpens and cannabinoids. I do have some of these on certain strains Ive grown prior. I will list those on the next post.
Any ?'s are welcomed.
I do grow from clones but prefer to order seeds as you kinda get bored:sleep::sleep: with the same ones.
I NEVER buy strains as unless you KNOW the grower you are most likley buying their "B" genetics .
Anyhow its getting late and damn eyes got hit with the damn indica pillow.

Just throwing my 2 cents in.. once the seeds arrive you should do a comparison of how "strong" the seeds are from each seedbank. Ive been with attitude my whole career and until recently i was never disappointed. I had 9 seeds that were under par out of 21. But it might have just been the weather at the time. (im optimistic) Would really love to see how the seeds compare from herbies and attitude.

Hanedizzle thats the plan ...
Ive also mostly used attitude. There are always drifting characteristics between phenotype in packs of seed... I ll go into more detail later. Im running late for work... by the way I checked mail this morning HERBIES HAS ARRIVED. Ill go into further detail later.

If they are in the breeder packs how "strong" they are is all in the breeders hands all they do is sell the seeds for the breeders and don't give a fuck if they germinate or not cause they sell for souvenirs. It's also better to go with a breeders trusted resellers cause the breeder should be replacing their beans with fresh beans regularly but you buy from a company who buys from a wholesaler and does not work with the breeder you can be buying a 10+ year old pack that won't germinate for shit.

So the way I see it depends what breeder you want to work with on where to shop unless it's a new line than you know the beans ain't old.

But comparing Herbies to Attitude is like comparing Walmart to Target same fucking store if you ask me.

Lol,
Yes the breeder seller debate. I Like the wallymart/target analogy. While some may have good or bad experiences with "wholesale" sellers. Personally ive had mostly good. While it is true you may buy an 10 year old pack that may not germ ive found that both attitude and herbs will replace defunct seeds if you go about it correctly
I dont know all breeders shelf life or even how long they were held before sold to a reseller, but you are %100 correct KNOW YOUR BREEDER

Side note;
I have found that buying from the big resellers is cheaper , but the smaller sellers more forthcoming and willing to solve issues. ie; a breeders trusted reseller.

Ok this is a lil late for update , Sorry. I was in Hospital for a few days...
Attitude arrived On July first uninterupted/unmolested by customs.
The reason I believe it took longer is that order arrived International post to NYC then for some reason was Shipped to Washington state before returning to Michigan for delivery...( according to tracking information). So hold on a few I will gather statistics and cost comparrisons of both and post...

Side note ; I did order SEALED BREEDERS PACKS and recieved both shipments repackaged and NOT in sealed packaging.
This is not a cause for alarm as the powers that be are doing there best to stop this apparent demon seed from reaching us demented individuals.
As I've said before this was a known possibility due to stealth shipping.
Ive had this happen before and product was of utmost quality and most definitely what it was supposed to be.
I mentioned this only for the benefit of those who may be new to the process and wish to know as much information as possible.

I know Herbie's will. Just don't mention germination. I contacted them and informed them that a pack was not collectable. They replaced them and threw in some freebies.

Whiteebb ,
Very useful information and others should take note. My reason for the return I had to herbies a few years ago was that the seeds appeared to be "defunct/damaged" . Yes I like "not collectable" very much.
The IMPERATIVE lesson / understanding one should take from this is that ANY MENTION OF GERMINATION puts both buyers/seller in a situation in which the authorities may have grounds to give you and seller ummmm, UNWANTED attention. Banks want your businesses and an unhappy customer wont return. A satisfied customer will.
Use good judgement and vocabulary when/if you should have an issue that would require such a request...

 Whitebb I love that reply... Two thumbs up!

Well that pretty much sums up order results. Will place another in 2 weeks. A third in September when strains I prefer become available.

We will also be growing out these strains. As I said before we're going to do a breakdown with lab analysis of each.

Our new nursery consists of a 10,000 watt flower room and a 300 watt mother clone room. We grow both organically and hydroponically. Also a sort of Hydroganic set up is employeed on proven genetics as not only we but our patients mostly prefer their meds grown as such.

We are completing our HVAC system this next coming week. Germination will begin then and results will be documented. This thread will most likley move to another forum at that time.

FOR THE UPCOMING SEED ORDER WE WILL TAKE SUGGESTIONS BUT MUST CONSIDER GENETICS LIFESPAN ( Most likley no LONG season strains) ORDER WILL BE DUPLICATED AGAIN. SO IF SOMEONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE A STRAIN FEATURED LET US KNOW !!!!!

I thank you for reading the post and please feel free to direct ant questioning or comments.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY ALL!

We wish you good going and good growing.
Seedykindofguy & the team.

Thanks for the info. I was considering Herbies for my first venture into seed collecting. I look forward to any updates.
