I grow in my attic not in a tent but I heard they work good. The best advise I can give you is insulate well. You may not need it now because its fall but in summer your going to have huge heat issues. To cool my room what I did was reroute a ac vent that use to go to my bathroom to my grow room and it works great. Also I dont know how hard it is to get into your attic but I can tell you that lugging water from a lower level is a pain in the ass and if you can I suggest running a water line up there. It will save you a ton of time and energy in the long run. Here is a couple of pics of one of my rooms in my attic during construction.
This is the insulation I did

This is a ac vent that i rerouted to the room

This is the room just before it was done

I also have the floors lined with pond liner and a door for the room. My lights are air cooled that pull air from a closet underneath and I have an exhaust fan that turns on when the temps get to high.

Wow. That is awesome bro. I did think about this strategy as well, but my summer grow will likely be outdoors since my wife freaks out that I'll be growin' IN the house during the cold season.

I have a basement closet that would be cool and good for CFL's when it gets hot, so maybe come May I will be resting my HID system to switch over. But the wife may not go for it. Soooo....

I live on a property that goes down a huge greenbelt (hill) and will probably grow some Short Ryders offsite. As much as I hate guerilla growing, it's something I must do to have stash.
