Can you put a large fan in the attic at the gable?

It will take a lot of thought on cooling the area to be able to pull an attic grow off,I would think.

get some good fans to keep the plants blowing and cool. good air intake(down low) for fresh cool air. good exhaust(up high) to get rid of heat. T5 lighting. run flowering lights at night time.

you will need an air condition if you are doing anything over 1000 watts i would guess... if you use half the room for flowering (10x20) you will need around 5000 watts in lighting alone.\

keep it to a small space for the summer. maybe a 5x5.. get a sealed room and air exhausts and air intake hooked directly into the windows.

you will use the same wattage in fans to adequately cool using fans only. spare yourself anguish and get an AC unit on a thermostat.. or otherwise demise

I think a grow tent would be easier to control the temp as your attic heats up due to the sun hitting the roof of your house. Attempting to wage war between hot air rising in the house, and the sun beating down on your roof....with an air conditioner will be a battle all summer long.

Yeah....you'll need a portable A/C unit and run the vent hose to one of your attic's windows. I've seen used ones on Craigslist for about $100.

Can the ac go inside the grow tent ?? I don't plan on using the entire attic just throwing the specs out there I wanna have a flower and veg chamber. I just need my meds an can't figure out the best method before I always had a room no longer now so best advice ??

My portable AC is inside the tent...vented out through the tent and then out the bathroom window.

It has a small foot print equivalent to a large oscillating fan.

It also helps me control RH during flowering.

Way better then having a bajillion fans blow drying your plants to dust.

However I don't know if even the largest can fight 100 heat and the temps from the lights.

Might need 2...a window AC for the room and a portable AC for the tent.

Attic in summer is doomed unless you live in alaska.
nah, did it for years. W/ a 1000w hps. Just need plenty of exhaust and intake air and water more often.

Portable a/cs suck balls bro. They are like the most inefficient means of air conditioning out there. If you decide to a/c (I wouldn't)get a couple big window units.

I wouldn't use a tent. panda film to separate veg and flower. some white paint on underside of roof joists. There ya go.
When I was in the attic for those 4 years I only had about 250cfm of exhaust with plenty of passive intake and a couple of floor fans.

In hydroton watered 3-5 times a day as needed. Never really had any problems. I was in a location that carbon filtration wasn't needed so my exhaust fans were not restricted at all.

I would get at least a 750 cfm fan if I were you you can always slow it down if needed.

and again run lights at night.
