at what point has the plant been flowering for too long?

I got about half amber trichromes and half cloudy. I want to cut today but I would like to flush for a few more days. How many days do I have before I have a problem with the THC level dropping?

Amber trichs mean that the THC has already degraded. Sorry, you missed the boat. Get 'em chopped as quickly as possible and maybe you'll have something worth smoking.

I wont agree with potpimp for probably the first time ever... LOL

50/50 amber/cloudy is actually a GREAT place to chop the plant, I wouldnt worry about flushing them unless you grew with Miracle grow nutes. Your plants should be fine. Expect to get STONED!

Well it all depends on the if they want Stoned or High... the more amber there are, it is a heavier Stone. THC may degrade a little in amber but the CBD is higher.
Potpimp is correct in saying THC wise, all cloudy are ideal for a great high. Couch lock comes in with heavy amber.

When some of the trichomes are amber some are clear. If all the other trichomes were cloudy then that amber being too late thing would be true. Even then it is personal taste for the high of the amber ones.

I only worry about chopping too soon, later is always good for me. I like a mellower high.

Are you serious? They've only been flowering for just over 6 weeks. I read that part amber, part cloudy is ideal.

Just read the chart. As the above posters have noted, some like the trippy, social, creative, heady high (me!) and some like the couchlock body stone. Just one more amazing thing about this beautiful plant.

Oh okay. I like the stuff that knocks me on my ass so maybe the couch lock is okay.

Jorge Cervante's book Medical Marijuana tells us that amber/dark trichomes signal the beginning of THC degradation.
