At grow store RIGHT NOW! NEED HELP ASAP W/SOIL!

I'm at the grow store right now and I'm about to purchase this soil call SunShine Mix #4....What else would I need to buy to add to this? Or should I buy a different soil-mix? PLEASE HELP ASAP

Perlite, dolomite lime, maybe earthworm castings

You could add some blood/bone meal in it for some organic nutes if you're transplanting into it

Im not transplanting...Im starting from step 1..seedlings!

No prob! Perlite helps drain and keep things airy, the lime will help keep soil ph stable. The other stuff the plants will like to eat.

So even if im not transplanting should i still get blood/bone meal?

I'd start the seedlings in a solo cup with the plain SSM#4 and some perlite, then transplant into the mix with everythimg

Some nutes and the lime can be hard on seedlings but great for plants once they get going

Cool..ill do just sunshine mix by itself with a little perlite added for the 1st few weeks..and then make my mixture of "sunshine..lime..blood meal etc."

For seedlings, solo cups are just a lot more manageable to keep moist, under fluorescents, etc.
