Assist, taking so long

Hey,

I was just wondering if I could get a little advice, we have been at it for 7 weeks and it seems to be going really slow, our babies are only at 1.5ft in height, and not very bushy.
I will try and give as much detail as I can.
We started with 6 seedlings under a 1000w light for 2 weeks and moved them under 2 600w for the past 5 weeks.
We have planted in cannatera and have our water system run for 15 minutes of every hour, flows back into the pot and into the ressi (they are all on the same level so the water sits there all the time).

The air in the room is regulated by a carbon filter sucking everything out and filtering it, and an intake fan each run about 15 minutes for every hour.

We use A and B and get it so the stick is at around 1200 - 1400 (cant remember what measurements are on the stick) and the PH level around 6.5.

Rooms completely closed and reflective, water is changed or monitored every day or second day at worse.

Stays between 22*c and 26*c during the days and feels really comfortable, a lil humid.

18 hours on, 6 hours off.

It seems to be going really slow, the only real problem I can imagine is that the water in the bottom of the pots is stagnant, the only flow it gets is when the ressi pumps turn on to water the garden, and then the flow to keep it even overall. I was thinking of putting another air pump in there and getting a co2 system for a fish tank, and then pumping it into each pot.

We use a few grow chemicals but we want to start using sensa spray, kind of hard to get here.

I have some friends who grow, mostly they use ebb and flow, which is what I am going to do next time, or aeroponics if i can work my head around it. Anyone see anything I am doing wrong which could explain why my grow is so slow?

Some things I want to add to try and improve it.
Sprayers in the pots for the roots, air stone in each pot maybe.

Try one of those DIY CO2 reactors, I have tried before but unfortunately I wacked it all together and nothing happend. I didn't have the stop check valve, is that the problem?

Should we add another light? we have a bunch, 1000s, 400s and 600s

Oh yeah, they look exceptionally healthy, and we are growing 6 different kinds, long story. But they just seem to be taking their time, any one know of some good hormones similar to sensa spray?

Bro, sounds like you are running a killer setup, pictures would help though, especially to diagnose the problems with the plants (if there are any).

Randomly adding nutes or hormones isn't going to do the trick. Truly growing great bud means tweaking your parameters until you get optimum growth with no bottlenecks. This can take time.

Before you go adding anything, look over your parameters and see if you are creating any kind of bottleneck anywhere.

Peace,

K

Here are 4 images, sorry about the quality. They seem to be really slow, the PH is kept around 6.6+ and my friend only uses ph up, which is weird to as I always assumed it was between 5.4-6.2 is your target range, and passing 5.8 each time is important.

Any ideas, we have 2 air exits at the top, and a few fans inside blowing air around, and one intake. Just going so slow, and some of the leaves are starting to look a little yellow on 2 of them.

Anyone know how to speed it up? I'm anxious, this is my first time doing this but my friends been doing it for over 10 years.

Hey,

We started with 6 seedlings under a 1000w light for 2 weeks and moved them under 2 600w for the past 5 weeks.

Firstly, did you start with clones or did you germinate under a 1000 w, cuz that is a LOT of light and I would suggest not doing that anymore.

We have planted in cannatera and have our water system run for 15 minutes of every hour, flows back into the pot and into the ressi (they are all on the same level so the water sits there all the time).

So this is like an ebb and grow hydroponic system? Whats the grow medium?

The air in the room is regulated by a carbon filter sucking everything out and filtering it, and an intake fan each run about 15 minutes for every hour.

Sounds good, and I see you have some oscillating fans too.

We use A and B and get it so the stick is at around 1200 - 1400 (cant remember what measurements are on the stick) and the PH level around 6.5.

pH is a bit high for hydro. 5.8-6 is what I would shoot for. Danger zone is below 5.5 and over 7. your ppm is also high for 7 weeks. You're risking nute toxicity imo. I keep my vegging plants below 1000 ppm.

Rooms completely closed and reflective, water is changed or monitored every day or second day at worse.

You change your res every day?

Stays between 22*c and 26*c during the days and feels really comfortable, a lil humid.

you don't need co2 in the water if that's what you mean. If you have a pump aerating your water that should be good.

We use a few grow chemicals but we want to start using sensa spray, kind of hard to get here.

I definitely recommend ebb and flow, that's my current method and it's doing really well.

Some things I want to add to try and improve it.

I left some opinions in your quote. Other than what I mentioned I don't think there's much else you can do!

whats the grow medium on your little clones. Looks like rockwool or something similar. If it is, irrigating every hour is incredible overkill on those ones.

As I look at the plant all I see is the extension cords and power strips. Please, no more lights until you tidy things up a bit. How close are the lights? They look like they might have some light stress. As Distiller says, lower TDS to around 1000ppm. Try to adopt the "less is more" reasoning.

I can really only see the 3rd picture. The plant looks pretty much healthy. But it looks sad. Kind of limp and droopy. When my Plants are happy, the top leafs almost stand on end. You said you run a PH of 6.5. You are running a hydro system. You need a PH of 5.4-5.8. And I did not see how often your system turns on. You might be wating them to often not allowing oxygen to get inside the rockwool. When I ran a system like that, it ran about every 6-8 hours. But I was in the desert with humidity of about 3-18% outside and 25% inside if i was lucky. I could get my room to about 35% usually. So you might be watering to often, and your PH is to high.
Good luck. That is a nice looking plant. You get your system dialed in and it will be an ASSUME plant.

OH!!! I do not mist my plants very often, and never foilier feed at all. I figure the rain does not have guanno and manure in it. why would I spray it on them? Including chemical and organic nutrients. These companies tell people they need this or that to grow nice plants and people jump on it. Kind of like feeding your plants Mollasses or sweet. The plants root system can not up take that stuff. But I used it for years. :)

Anyway, this is all just my opinion. If you get good results from misting and such, All good. To each his own. What works for me, might not for you.

P.S. one last thing. Did you prerinse and condition your Rockwool?

I might be a bit confused on what I am seeing. Looking more closely, it looks like you are running two different kinds of systems. What kind of medium are in the 5 gallon buckets? Are those bubbleponics or hempey buckets or something?

If your buckets are what I am thinking, then you should have one of those 6" round air disk to keep the nutrient solution fresh and moving at all times. At least I did.

We have kicked the PH down, and only spray with soda water every couple of hours.

We are growing in cannatera in the pots and rockwool on the little ones, and we soaked the rockwool before planting. They are all from bag seed.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I have been reading it every chance I get. How long should it take, and it feel like they stopped growing about 2 weeks ago.

I once tripped over some cables (yes I know I should be safer) and knocked off the lights for a couple hours once, do you think this may have stunned them?

Our main problem is that they are so slow. That's like 1 and a bit foot for 7-8 weeks from seed.

The lights are about 2 feet above them. I was actually thinking about adding another light, hoping it might kick it up a little more.

Unfortunately currently the rock wool and feeders for the main 6 are connected, so they feed together we need to get another pump this week to change them.

Could stagnant water in the bottom of each pot be the a contributing factor?

That's kind of a work in progress, my friend threw them in while I have been focusing on the main 6 and getting it right. I want to build an aeroponic set up (gonna follow some guides here) this weekend, we were kind of just starting them off. I don't know how we are thinking of getting them out of the rock wool without damaging them, but I am new at all of this.

We actually built 2 separate rooms, but we are only just starting so only one is currently functioning. When we get the set up right we will start developing clones and have different rooms for different parts of the cycle.

Seedlings can most times take up to 8 weeks to get to full size. Clones on the other hand can be bushy and ready for budding in a matter of 2 -4 weeks.

Yeah we are going to move onto that system, I just personally want to get it right for these first few so that the next set can go off faster and more efficiently. So far we were discussing maybe making them just bud already and taking what we can get before starting a new batch, considering how long it took though I would prefer to get them to grow to their fullest before. maybe clone one and bud the rest. We have so much gear and space.

Two Bulls were standing on top of a hill. The younger bull says to the older one. "Lets run down the hill and fuck one of those cows.
The older bulls says, "lets walk down the hill and fuck them all.

Now I know everyone has heard this saying. But it really has a point to be made. Slow the hell down and you might get more.

I know, thats why I am focusing more on the 6. Those others are currently just there in my mind.

We need to build a completely new set up for them, im all for flood and drain because it looks easier and a good friend of mine has a sweet set up he will help us replicate. My mate wants to jump head first into aero. But again I still feel thats getting ahead of myself, I want to sort out our current problems.

Im thinking the most likely issue to your slow growth is lack of air through overwatering.... otherwise the plants look healthy.

dont spray with soda water.
