As big as you can, how big is to big???

Hey guys,

Im in Aus so we're all down here in prep for our outdoor season.

I am doing a guerilla grow as well as a couple of plants in my green house.

The green house grow will be in pots, now every bit of information I read has a rough minimum pot size but as for an ideal large pot everyone just says as big as you can go.

Right now I hjave access to planter bags 50l, 100L 150L 200L 500L and 1000L

Their has to be a size that will give my plants all the grow room they need without going to something as silly as a 1000L bag per plant.

Will 100 be enough or should I go to 150? 200?

I am a straight up indoor hydro grower so this soil stuff is confusing :P

Should Probably add I will have a very long veg time (full length of the season with plants started indoors from clones)

Strains are serious ak47 and mr nice guy critical mass

Size of pot will determine how long between watering to some extent. If it is a Gorilla grow a big pot might not be good.I would use at least a 150-200 size.

Guerrilla isn't pots, only green house.

I was thinking 150L but if that wont be big enough then Ill run 200L.

The green house will have full water supply so I can easily water every few days.

Dont know the exact dimensions off the top of my head but it is 3m high (was built for this purpose)

Think its something like 8mx5m

Its quite large

Okay, I would go no larger than 100 gallon Smart Pots. Personally I would fill it up with 45's or 65's.
Good luck on your grow, we would love some greenhouse pics (even empty)

Space is the main consideration. A fifty gallon pot should produce a pound or better. In a dense grow where plants are close to each other, normal production is between 30 and 50 grams per square foot. My best in my more productive green house was 58g per sq. ft. The best indoors(that I know of), by another grower was 67.5 g per sq ft. That said, figure you'll need about a 4x4 foot space for a plant to reach over a pound. There are a lot of variables among strains and growers. All that means is 200L(50 gallons) ought to be sufficient.
