I did contact HC. Took forever for a response and was basically blown off. They said they weren't going to get involved in disputes between me and PN.

So if they don't want to hear it. You should go public! That sucks for all the patients using there fledgling program. Again HC comes up with this idiotic idea then washes there hands of the mess.

I've been trying my best to go public - did the interview with Lift hoping that would help. Also contacted Patrick McGuire a few times at Vice News but havent heard any response from him or CBC.

Have you tried Press For Truth (Vice type indie youtube journalism) or other newspaper outlets that have been covering the MMPR like the Huffington Post? If all else fails can always write letters to the editor of every major canadian newspaper, some of them should at least publish it and have your story out there a bit. Just my 0.02 cents.

Not yet! Thanks for the suggestion :) and also the warm welcome I've gotten from everyone here. Great response! Wish I found this earlier.

It starts with one quick message and minutes later followed by a friendly hello and a familiar smile. Small talk and catching up on how things are going. Selection is introduced and questions about needs are asked in addition to pricing. Specific strain suggestions are common and occasionally repeat purchases are rewarded with a new strain to review for feedback. The entire interaction is friendly and compassionate and over in a matter of minutes. Not only is it quick and effective but the quality of medicine is excellent for the price and everything is weighed in front of you. There is always a selection available for purchase and hours of operation are based around the consumers needs generally operating throughout the weekend. They carefully monitor their supply to ensure they can keep up with the demand of their customer base and do not let it exceed.

It starts with an email, then a phone call, then a voicemail when the phone lines are inevitably tied up. Countless emails and phone calls follow with numerous daily attempts spending hours trying to get a response and get your place in line to buy your marijuana. It is followed by stress and aggravation and message after message begging for a response. You really try your hardest to buy whatever strain shows up whenever it becomes available. Often the only thing for sale is the shake left over from the regular full flower marijuana that is sold to those who get there first. It is weeks before they have any inventory and you wait days for it to arrive by mail often delivered late or no delivery attempt is made and you have to walk to the post office to pick up your marijuana. You pay a premium price for this service and product in addition to shipping. Sometimes they do not have enough inventory to fill your monthly prescription so you are forced to pay for additional shipping. You accept it because this is the legal way to purchase.

Seriously who is the real criminal?
One of these interactions is a drug dealer and the other is Peace Naturals.

This sums up how I feel. We're all getting screwed by the MMPR.

>>Jeff Jacobson, vice-president of corporate operations with Peace Naturals Project, said the legal cannabis market is still a new industry and the company is in a “corrective measures” stage.

Umm having to do "corrective measures" two months into your opening date reads like a colossal business plan failure. It seems to me even though they know they can't supply the weed to patients, they are signing people up to make the registered user numbers look inflated to potential investors. Funny how the first thing and the main thing that these companies can do is gather investment capital.

There's some serious common sense failure here. You'd figure if these guys were serious it would take them 12+ months from the start date to even know how to produce weed on a large medical scale.

These clowns hired the whose who of the MMAR abuse world to grow the weed with out realizing that those people might know how to grow weed in dirty barns and warehouses with access too any pesticide and don't have to worry about any contamination but wtf do they know about running a "medical" grade green house.

I found some interest from talk radio hosts. I wrote several emails, and was on air on three separate programs in the lead up to the mmar challenge. Roy Green (chorus radio) I think is national and Mike Eckford on CKNW in Vancouver is great.

"Peace Naturals monitors online traffic and Jacobson said there are typically 100 people shopping consecutively.

He added the company can sell a kilo of medicinal marijuana in seconds."

This just highlights the complete lack of foresight in the industry. Do they seriously think a KG is a lot? No fucking wonder it sells out in seconds, with 100 people shopping consecutively that would maybe fill 30-35 peoples orders, tops. It's not cocaine for fuck's sakes, 1KG helps a minute amount of patients out of the 1000+ patients I'm sure we can assume they have at the very least. Especially when we all know that LP's patient numbers aren't that high(not what the LP's forecasted anyway) They need to start with 3-5kg's daily of each strain, cured, and ready to go out to patients to minimize this kind of shit. And since that isn't possible for these guys, and others, due to them wanting the first piece of the market instead of growing out a few crops and curing it before coming to market, we get what we have now

Even if there wasn't a supply issue at all, there would still be a barrier to access due to the absurd costs a patient is expected to pay. Or the sub par quality, the list goes on and on.....................

I like that media is starting to report the shit that's happening instead of all the investment stuff. People need to know how much of a colossal failure this new system is.
I wish I could join in and voice my opinion. I do not want to be anonymous. Part of the reason so few people are coming forward and those that do are not doing so with their real names is because they're afraid of the stigma. I don't wanna be bullied into silence. I just want access to medicine and for other patients not to get screwed over like this.

I agree with you that you don't want to hide....having said that, I know that I feel so uncomfortable using my meds in public that I do try to hide....ffs I'm 50 years old and my mother doesn't know because I don't want to deal with her and her fucked up beliefs about this plant. Travelling is another ball of wax....I felt more comfortable travelling when I used illegally and hid it on my person than I do with my pink sheets and carrying in the open. So it's a matter of time I think for me anyways.

Might be going public soon. Just spoke to a reporter about doing a potential TV interview. Hopefully I will be able to bring some much needed attention to the situation. They're looking for more people who have had difficulties with Peace Naturals if anyone knows any other patients in the Halifax area.

Good luck...a really good question to ask the reporter is...why do you think PNP got a licence so fast? Look at PNP's key employees and their history and their lawyer and how fast they got up and running...it doesn't add up. There is a big time pile of dirt there. I highly doubt any reporter would go there, that would take some investigative work.

2.5 kg per day = 75000 g/month by 1600 patients = 46.875g

46 grams is far less than the 75 a month I need. They do not have near enough for their patients and somehow they have been the first to get their renewal. I have been unable to place an order in the full amount of my prescription for months let alone even place an order in their lottery that sells out in seconds. They have clearly been limiting the order quantities to supply a smaller portion to more clients as I have spoken to several other clients who have experienced similar problems. www.simcoe.com/news-story/4949015-clearview-s-peace-naturals-gets-medical-marijuana-licence-renewal/

The better business bureau gave them an F how are they talking about being leaders in the industry...

guess your only fallback would be buy some seeds, get caught bring up supply issues to da judge and hope he see the issue for what it is and dismisses it
THIS. If 1/4 or even a tenth of all HC cannabis patients did this and sold to the rest, their stupid corrupt scam designed and built for the purpose of harassing and bilking medical patients would crash to the ground.

So get started. Look the Mounties in the eye when they come to arrest you and challenge them to say what you did was in any way dangerous to public safety or harmful to your health. If they can't say there was a clear violation of one of those two tenets, they really have no right to be standing in your growroom at all. And they know it.
