Bang Bang shot down
Incorrect, the most important portion was left intact. Officers being allowed to check status if any crime is committed and legal status is in question. And crime is a VERY broad term, broken headlight? Everything that was taken down was done so simply because they are redundancies of Federal law. Certainly not the complete victory the supporters were looking for, but they retained the most important provision.

Clear message from the SCOTUS, they CAN check status and if you don't like the administration's refusal to enforce the laws on the books, vote them out.

You guys are right, the most vital component of the Arizona law was upheld by the Supreme Court. This will force the federal government to enforce the rule of law they are sworn to uphold, or face the repercussions. A clear victory for states rights, expect many other states to follow suit.

On CNN right now they are talking about a similar problem in Israel. Evidently they have a lot of illegals from Africa. There are political actions being taken to round them up and deport them.

I have no more mercy for illegals being deported than I have for line cutters being thrown out of amusement parks. Every single illegal should be chucked out on their ass, regardless of their country of origin. Except hot, strip club worthy 18-24 year old chicks with a thing for greying, middle-aged guys, not those ones of course.

Illegals hurt my business, it has ran unchecked in my state for years, I can take any news reporter and show then countless jobs American's lost because of it but no one want's to hear it. They stick their finger in their ears and start screaming racism. So what do you do? I feel like people are too fucking retarded to deal with this like adults and make real decisions.

the only part that wasn't struck down was the part that benefits the private prisons that the bill's author and the state's governor have close ties with.

victory for conservatives.

I'm curious to see how it works. I would guess a lot of Americans will be asked if they are American and be annoyed about it, maybe even say it is discriminatory. If Arizona thinks it is necessary, and the scotus agrees, then it should be law. Hopefully this wasn't purely a partisan issue, I'm sure there will be some partisan talking points. I can see Obama gaining votes over some of the butt hurt this will cause kind of from an ACLU sort standpoint.
