I thought about that before I posted it but oh well. I learned alot from that paper. I just hope newbies read it and apply the knowledge to their situation. AN is good stuff but costs an arm and a leg.

That paper has alot of good information. I like reading through the pages of RIU when I have time. I certainly did not want to plug AN or any other manufacturer. I do want Arizona newbies to read this paper though.

I am running AN with connoisseur as a base... my only complaints is I don't like spending $100 per gal for "master quality" base nutes. I love how easy AN is to use (either 16 ML or 8 ml per 4l mix ration) I think it the end nutes are nutes (with certain exceptions to ingredients) but i am still a noob and only got a few runs under me.

Yeah I hear you. AN is a expensive nute line but it's kick ass ( I dont even use it) but they have research and studies and they outright advertise their nute brand was formulated for cannabis cultivation. GH will hang up on you.

they do make things easy but you are paying for it. GH will hang up on you because they are the industry (all horticulture and botany) standard, but thats ok if you know what you are doing, then there should really be no need to use a "canabis specific nutrient" (whatever that really means as there are thousands of different strain of canabis which all require subtle differences). if you are interested enough to make the effort and learn about the entire process then feeding your plants will seem much more simple and you will see right through the marketing used to entice new growers into buying these products. but i will say that AN does make a few products which are quite as good if not better and reasonably priced as their competitor. Bud candy for instance has been one of my favorite additives, i have tried sweet and humboldt honey and i like the results from bud candy better. i use GH as my base with the lucas formula and now i am trying out jungle juice, which is a GH knockoff made by AN which will be priced slightly cheaper. in full disclosure i got all three 1 liter bottles of jungle juice (grow, micro, and bloom) for free so why not use them. i am also tryin sensizyme instead of hygrozyme which i normally use because sensizyme is actually cheaper. some of their products i would never buy or even think of using like rhino skin (botanicare silica blast is 1/3 the price) wet betty (which i am definitely convinced most buy for the picture), tarantula or scorpion juice. the last two do not show promising enough results to be worth the huge price tag.

Oh yeah definitely I know some really good growers who use their Sensi A&B and then add different additives from different companies.
