Hypothetically can a school district see if a teacher has a MMJ card when doing the background check for hiring them? And if they can, then what can they do? Just saying, I may know someone in this situation.

it's a tricky situation. i'm thinking they would not be amused with a teacher with a pot script. i'd go to the ADHS site and ask the question. they have somone who will answer quickly.

i have a friend with a very good job with the state. he definately qualifies for a card but won't get one because the law can be overturned and then he's fucked. the state does not forget or forgive.

i've been doing some more searching and i'm thinking maybe these little fuckers aren't thrips. the pics of thrips don't match up.
they are small, light green as adults and white as grubs. they hop really far and fast and they suck on leaves. they leave little silver spots on the leaves where they have fed. or shit. lol
Could be springtails. They come in a variety of colors; most types are harmless, but some are pretty tenacious plant pests.

these things have wings. or at least things that look like wings.

i saw a couple larvae the day after i sprayed, usually only one per leaf and always on top of the leaf. i don't know if they were dead but i squished them just to be sure.

i haven't seen any adults for days. i'm watching for any larvae.

the adults have this profile
http://ag.arizona.edu/pubs/garden/mg/entomology/sap.html See the Cotton Aphid Adult picture. that upswept look.

it's not aphids though, nothing else matches up.

they leave a little silver like spot where they feed. this is one of the descriptions for thrip damage.

Sounds like thrips or maybe even white flies. Did you try spinosad?

yeah I was guessing white flies too.
you know, i've never seen white fly larvae before. i'm wondering if these little white larvae that are never in groups are just gnats? i've only seen maybe 12 of them, one here, 2 there. i'll have to read up on it.

i have yellow and blue sticky traps in the flower and clone areas and haven't seen a thrip in awhile but i have seen a few fungus gnats (is that what you're calling white flys?) on the traps along the bottom of the pots. i'm hoping things are under control with the thrips or whatever they are, fungus gnats are easy.

i will be looking for any signs for the next couple of weeks. BUG JIHAD!!

first i used bug off but then noticed that it didn't say anything about killing thrips so i got something with spinosad in it. i also pulled the clones out of my closet and sprayed it with RAID ant and roach spray too. death from above!

my fingers are crossed.

Fungus gnats feed on leaves too and also will lay eggs there along with the soil. Nematodes work wonders and are available locally at Elgin in West Phx.

I had trouble with white flies...only the adults fly...what worked for me was 15ml (1 tbls) Azamax and 32 oz of water in a spray bottle. I sprayed the underside of the leaves from the bottom up. Then I sprayed the top of the leaves from the top to the bottom of the plant. I did this every other day for 8 days (4 applications). I killed one fly two days later...and that was it. The spray causes them the not lay eggs, disturbs normal life cycle to maturity, and they won't eat treated plant material. You can also use it up to day of harvest. Please don't use raid again. that stuff leaves a residue that isn't healthy.

Neem with silica every 2-3 days until week 3 of flower or when the trics show up. I add neem cake to my soil. Soma's book has this info and many others use it. I started using it when I switch back over to soil from coco. Azamax is just one part of neem. Get the full spectrum if possible.

Also if you mulch your top soil it will help keep pest away. Composted bark mulch works and even sand. Mulch has many other benefits too.
