Arghhh!! What are these things in my roots?!?!?!

I wanted to start flowering after 3weeks of veg but its been 2 weeks, tues makes 3 and growth has been slow, New leaves look nice n dark green but some older ones died off and upon inspectino of my roots i found some nats crawling around. It doesnt look like a huge infestation but there are some very tiny tick looking white ones all the way to the black winged nightmares. What do I do?

i assume ur indoors? if so, u can use non-toxic sticky fly paper rolls (they sell them at .99 cent stores). hang them on one end of a plant row with a fan on the opposite end of the row so the gnats are constantly being blown into the sticky paper.

Covering the soil with a layer of sand will help break their reproductive cycle, it worked for my mothers.

fungus gnats. little fuckers. yeah get fly paper or something of the sort

Thanks for you help guys, I am growing in hydro so sand I cant do. As far as sticky paper I actually have not seen any flying around, or maybe 1 or 2 lil spots id catch out of the corner of my eye were them but they are only a few on one plant and most of them are on the roots and have not begun flying around.

Arghhh!! What are these things in my roots?!?!?!
