Could I use one of these effectively in a 3x3 tent for both veg and flowering? Or would 3x3 be too big? It says on website 2.5x2.5 for flowering, but would it still work good....I really wanna try LED. I currently run 400w but am looking to try something new.

might be unhappy with the development on the outskirts... but a 400 watt certainly wont cover a 3x3 fully either. id go with two of them and you will have nice even results and much better than 400 watts of hps in that area. starting with one and seeing what you think isnt a bad idea :)

I've actually been looking at pro-grow as well, ever heard of them? I was thinking about 2 Pro-Grow 180's, which has 160w draw each for 320w actual draw...

I wanna reduce the heat in my tent. and downgrade on electricity a little. I know 320w isn't much below 400w. but i figured it would be less heat...i live in a pretty scary place for us growers...lol

ill be honest, im in the market for my first led fixtures as well. not familiar with the pro-grow though, have you seen some decent results from growers using them? sounds like two would be good for the area based purely on wattage but we all know how much that can mislead us!

well i did a little research, this dude used the 400x, which is 350w actual draw. I was thinking of getting the 400 which is 250w draw at first...the reviews say its good for a 3x3 but hell for the same price you can get the two 180's lol..

id always go for two fixtures equaling same wattage. better distribution to your canopy and can hang them at different heights if some plants arent uniform in height i just did a quick search on em and there were a decent number of people in random forums praising the pro-gro lights. im going to be getting much larger units because i need to cover 4x8 but these seem like a good choice for you

I have owned both companies and bet the 51 wiould give a pro grow 400 a run for its money, or watts...

my pro grow 180s/260 are now DIYs with my old area 51 models (2012 "apollo" styles), kept my SGS intact.

I would use a 3x3 space, but use all 2.5x2.5' I could. do you train much?
