Are you addicted to marijuana?

Long-term marijuana use can lead to addiction for some people; that is, they use the drug compulsively even though it often interferes with family, school, work, and recreational activities.

Along with craving, withdrawal symptoms can make it hard for long-term marijuana smokers to stop using the drug. People trying to quit report irritability, difficulty sleeping, and anxiety. They also display increased aggression on psychological tests, peaking approximately 1 week after they last used the drug.

Would you be able to stop smoking weed if you tried?

Yeah, I've stopped a few times.I've been avidly smoking for over a year again, but i guess i dont have an "addictive personality" hah. every time i quit i get those exact symptoms though..good read.

Lol i for one do not believe that cannabis is addictive, it has everything to do with your personality. If i need to i can go numerous weeks without smokeing and i dont find it hard at all. Again if your an agressive person than it doesnt matter if you've recently stopped smokeing or not. I like to think that im not lol so no problem.

Cannabis is not physically addictive, but mentally addictive, as stated.

I agree with this. Since being in Arizona, there is no good weed. Thus, I've stopped smoking unless I'm in Californa (home of the dank). In Arizona, I have trouble sleeping, am very irritible, and crave to smoke.

Oh well, I guess I just need some medicine to fix that problem :)

Funny how not smoking would give me a legitimate excuse for a cannabis card...

Can I ask you a question "pOt MaIk YoU sToOpId" ? ................

"Why does your name imply that marijuana makes one stoopid? and who wrote that question for you ? ,The only reason I ask is that unlike all your other posts this one was actually coherent.

Yes, you're absoultly correct about the "peaking" thingie. I have this really great looking neighbor who has an incredible body. She likes to lay out by her pool. Every time I quit smoking pot for a few days, I find myself "peaking" over the fence to check her out.

I find that taking a day off here and there increases your high and decreases your weed usage. When you do this fairly often, you dont go thru the "withdrawal" symptoms too badly. Probably because you only take a day off. ;)

But seriously, it helps make it easier when you need to quit for any significant amount of time.

I have OCD and my doctor agrees with me. We both think that marijuana is the best medicine for me. It controls my agressive and compulsive behavior. Yes I tend to be like monk. This is the thing...

Although i havent been diagnosed i am the same way, weed controls it for me better than i could say, if i run out i start getting stressed and aggressive with everything. even when im buzzed i can but i can also control it by stopping paying attention to it like i otherwise wouldnt have been able to do.
