Agreed- Cannabis seeds are considered a "souvenir" in most states until it is planted. Most sites that sell seeds will have a disclaimer stating that the seeds are for "genetic preservation purposes" or a "souvenir" product.
I ordered from TheVault a few weeks ago, seeds arrived no problems and on-time (UK based company) They do free stealth shipping as well.

I suppose you could ask Marc Emery ?

and then there is this,,,,,,

Another Internet Seed Seller Gets a Six Year Sentence

Marc Emery won’t be the only person in a US prison for selling seed over the internet. In Fort Wayne, Indiana a judge has sentenced a man to six years in a federal prison for selling marijuana seeds over the Internet. 30-year-old Jesse Groth sent seeds around the world from his northeastern Indiana home. He used the business name, “Elite Genetics” with the address of his home on Hamilton Lake in Stueben County.

Police found out about Mr. Groth’s operation last year when a woman from another state complained to investigators that her teenage son had stolen hundreds of dollars from her to buy marijuana seeds on line. A search warrant was executed and police found marijuana in the home, scales, growing equipment and over 100 marijuana plants used to make the seeds for his business.

At the time of the search, investigators also found numerous packaged seeds that were ready to ship. A federal grand jury indicted Groth on a charge of manufacturing a controlled substance. He and his partner, 21-year-old Laura Wass shared the home and she was also charged. Groth, as it turns out, was also wanted on an old eBay fraud charge as well. He was accused of bilking money from people for sports cards on the Internet selling site, but then not sending them the goods. There was an outstanding charge of mail fraud from 2006 and federal wire fraud charges stemming from that case.

According to court documents, Jesse Groth is ordered to pay $20,788 in restitution for that crime on top of his manufacturing a controlled substance. For her part in the marijuana seed operation, Laura Wass plead guilty in July and was sentenced to time already served and given no additional jail time for participating in the operation. Groth will also spend an additional four years supervised probation after he completes his 75 month prison sentence.

The bad info on this site is like the EverReady bunnie just keeps goin & goin lol

You ever think that wording is just there to make you feel better/ think it is safe to buy them? If a cop pulls you over in an illegal state, and all you have is a bag of seeds b/c you smoked all the bud, you can just tell them they're souvenir's?

if they're being shipped from overseas, makes no difference whether your state is legal or not. the fed says illegal, and if they find them, they'll take them, send you a letter saying "stop it or we'll come have a chat with you about this" in your resealed and delivered package, and put you on a list of people to keep an eye on. if the package makes it to your legal state, you're ok, if they catch it at the point of entry inspection, not so much

i've done research upon research and i've never heard of anyone getting busted for buying seeds. maybe if you already had a federal record already or were considered a felon then yeah but i don't think theyre gonna waste the time or paper for someone just buying a few seeds here and there they'd probably just go after the supplier.

the fed's don't even consider seed's a crime but the second it roots your charged as a kilo because they say that's the possibility of the plant

i've had friends get the letters. i don't think they actively search them out, they just randomly inspect stuff, and if they find it, you get the smack on the hand letter, in an attempt to discourage you from doing it again.

same way it works with websites selling them, you're gambling. the odds are actually in your favour, but its still gambling. thats why all those websites have the "these are noveltys not meant to be germinated" disclaimers on them.

Trust me seeds are not a big deal! I've got friends that have had 20 packages confiscated and were sent letters from trying to get them through customs and they just accept the loss and keep growing.. It carries a max of 30 days in jail at most if caught with seeds in your car but most get tickets and pay fines and this is in illegal states..hope this helps

I have had seeds seized by customs but until they are delivered they can't prove that I ordered them or had any knowledge that they were being sent to me. nirvana and ILGM both have excellent stealth shipping and I have never lost a shipment with them

They could care less about seeds it was the 188 plants they cared about..don't not grow in Indiana and do not exceed 99 plants or it becomes a federal offense! I'm in a legal state now thank God!

It not a crime as far as im aware..If your only caught with seeds its a fine...even if you have alot..
