So I am a computer science student at a University. We were learning the other day that essentially everything you do on the web is tracked and recorded by many different websites including Google and your ISP. If your browser accepts cookies (especially if you have a Gmail account, or Yahoo, or any other free e-mail service) then everything you say and do is recorded somewhere in one database or another. We learned about an expirement that AOL did a couple years ago where they traced all of the web searches and posts of a particular user back to this little old lady in Florida. They narrowed it down to her just by looking at all of the things she did on the internet. They chose her to expirement on because she never did anything sketchy on the web but they could do it to anyone if they wanted. Basically what this all boils down to is nothing you do on the web is private. That being said, if the LEO really wanted to they could trace most of us just by coming to this website. How safe is it to post all of this incriminating shit on this website?
