Ok guys after almost 7 weeks in veg my clones are around the 2 feet mark. Now since my flowering room is setup and ready to acomodate 10 grandaddy purple plants I need some advice from the pros =).

Right now I have 7 plants in 10 gal pots and 3 in 5 gal. Now I am doing Two sizes to see the outcome on both size pots. Since this is my first grow ever I am just making sure I am doing everything right. So please read and give me some input/advice So I can achieve a good harvest. My goal is to harvest 3 Pounds out of all those 10 plants. Maybe I am going way to high or not, but That is my goal. so please read.

- Strain: Grand Daddy Purp.
- Plants are 2 feet tall
- Flora Nova Grow at 600 ppm
- PH at 6.5-6.8
- A Feed them nutes every other day
- I when i dont feed them nutes i give them water ones a day/same for nutes, once a day and spray them once a day also.
- Doing 18/6 right now
- Soil: Roots Organic By Aurora.
- Wall Ac Unit 15000 BTUs temp set at 79 Energy Saving Mode. So temps are around 79-83 alwayz.
- Filter: Can Filter 100 with a 9350 CMF fan.
- Room I's sealed not exausting air with the fan at this moment since is not really hot where I live right now PLUS the wall mounted AC units is pulling hot Air out..
- Humidity (dry) 55%-60%
- Mylar For the walls
- White plastic (reflective) for the floor (forgot the brand sorry lol)
- One Fan to move air around.
- 10 gals Pots And 5 Gals Pots Been used.
- 2 Gavitas 1000 watts Pro (dimable from 650 watts to 1150 watts)
- Will use Flora Nova Blooml while in flowering stage.

I just transplanted all 10 plants to the 5 and 10 gal pots. They were under T5's before transplanting them.

So right now I am using one gavita pro at 650 watts for veg and the light is about 3 feet and a half from the top of the plants. so I am just waiting to hear from you guys to turn the gavita PRO up to 1000 -1150 watts.

Here are some pictures. So you guys think the ladies are ready for partying?

Thanks in advance =)

Hey dude...it's always nice to see serious growers. You may end up not liking your walls, but watch your plants real close for burning! If you are not going to exhaust the room (you should), you may want to add a Co2 generator for your girls. BTW...time to flip into 12/12 man. Good luck and keep us posted! Peace

Thanks Bird, How far should i keep the lights away fro mthe top of the plants. And what about my walls that i wont like? they kinda like mustard color right now, with the lights looks like lime green lol..Doesn can't use Co2 because the laws... lol go figure. But don't you think that AC unit will feed them nice cool air?. The Gavitas Pro 1000 does not get really hot, kinda warmish...

How tall you think they will get? A feet more or Two maybe?

Good looking out =)

I would keep the hoods about 18 inches above the plants. Your humidity is a little high, and its going to get a lot higher when the plants are in there. You're gonna want to be in the 30-40% range, so you might want to get a dehumidifier. Like bird dog said, you will most definitely want to exhaust that room, probably should have a double intake. I would duct that inline fan you have out of the room some how, and I would also have another one pulling fresh air in. Also, I would get at least two other oscillating fans in there as well, this will help them stay strong and reduce humidity/mold problems. Happy growing.:weed: EDIT: oh and to answer your question about how big they will get, probably another foot 1/2, two feet, at least. They will blow the fuck up.

My bad on your walls. I look at a couple of thread pictures up here (lol). The way your girls look right now, they should easily reach 4-5 ft high...unless you do something about it now. I'm not sure on your ac unit...assuming it's a window unit, I don't think they transfer air out. Make sure you have a way to raise your lights after you get them in place initially. Rock on...

Your taking on quite a bit for your first grow but its cool, I like it
I dont know how big your room is but 1000 watters should be generating some mad heat.
They may not need watered every day. Learn to check by lifting the pots and you'll know when they still have water and when its in need
Air exchange is important but sometimes not so simple. It would be nice to get the air out of the room but when your in full flower, the smell goes with it. If smell is any kind of issue you then need a scrubber attached to your exhaust line.
You may need more than one fan. If not now maybe later.
Go easy with the nutes, too much of a good thing can really hurt you and burned leaves dont repair themselves.
The bigger your grow the more expensive it gets in support items if your serious about really doing it right and giving yourself the best chance at a good product with max yield.
And I think your on your way to that pilgrim, keep us posted. I'm especially interested in the issue of the 2 pot sizes since they are the same strain.
Let us know down the line the differences you see
Good luck and always have fun at it !

Thanks for your reply.

Right now my AC unit is not having trouble at all keeping my room down to even 68. It turns on every 10 minutes. Current temperture is set at 82-84 with one light at 800 watts still on 16-8 on the light. I have a 100 big ass can filter lol.. and I will def look into exausting the hot air. My local store told me that I can either have a sealed room (which is how it is right now) and just use the same air inside with the scrubber just killing the odor. So I went that route, But i can get some ducting and apply the other method. =)
It is fun to experiment at least for me, that is why i went ahead and put 3 plants in 5 gal pots and 7 in 10 gal pots. To see if there is any difference.

So right now im still on veg. I will let turn them into flower in a few days. why? well because some plants are almost 2 feet tall ALMOST. and my goal is to have them minimum 2 feet tall but not more than 3 Feet.
I have 8' Ceilings. The whole room is about 11 feet by 23 feet. BUT I am using only 16 by 11 feet for flowering and the rest for VEG. I devided the room with just black plastic.

And for the Nutrients I am doing 2 tbsp (600 pmm or some shit like that hahaha) with the floranova grow. I will keep feeding them every other day and stay wit h that same portion of nutes. I Don't like strong feeding them simply because of what you said. =)

They look happy as fuck under 800 watts right now.

FInally, when I first moved them under that HPS light I gave them 600 watts then 2 days after that 750 watts right now they are at 800 watts. The distance from the plants the light is at 3 and a half feet from them.

Thanks to you and to everyone else for helping me out and giving me pointers for a better and healthier grow. Al i have learned is beacause of this website, THANKS!

Total money invisted so far is a little over 2k.

Thanks!

I do have a way to raise my lights and or lower them. =)

Now the AC unit on the back of it blowes hot air out. So I was assuming it was kinda pushing out and in lol.. I will do more research and i might end up exausting the Air out, which is not biggie =)

Thanks Bird Dog Again for your input. =)

Have a Nice Weekend!

2 lights for 10 big plants. I'm stricktly guerilla only nowadays but sounds to me like you need an extra light to pull heavy.

I am testing the waters with these lights since they are Gavitas PRO 1000 that can go up to 1150 watts. So let's see if they can do the job, My setup is ready to add two more lights, so if I need 2 more I will just go fork out $950 bucks and get Two more.

Thanks for your input bigbsharko =)

From what I've been told "be prepared to have your plant triple in size after you switch to flowering. It obviously depends on the strain, and I just looked them up on seaofseeds and the height for GDP S1 is medium. http://seaofseeds.com/connoisseur-genetics-grandaddy-purple-s1 So People are probably right with 4-5 feet.

Yep sound like about right!

After talking to the wifey we decided to switch them to flowering starting tomorrow the first of the month. I will do a journal of it so I can keep you guys posted and of course give me great pointers as this is my first grow ever. =) I am exited =))))

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for your input firstimegrower1993
