I cut off a popcorn bud from my plant to practice looking at trichomes so I know how to judge the ripeness when it comes to harvest time, but I'm confused because they don't look anything like the pics I've seen with a little ball and stick (with the ball being clear/cloudy/amber). They just look like little bubbles to me (if I am in fact looking at the right thing)
I took some pics with my USB microscope and I want to know if i'm looking at the right objects. Are these trichomes ? And do you only find trichomes directly on the bud or are they all over the plant like the surrounding leaves and pistils? If they are found elsewhere can you judge the ripeness by looking at those as well or should you only inspect the trichomes found directly on the buds? Someone clear up the confusion thanks
