Hi All,

I was just wondering how far away my plant are from harvest? or are they ready now?

I have been using a magnifying glass but its not working any better then my phone.

Side note is that the plants have turned yellow fast! I stopped nutrients about 2 weeks ago and I am just feeding them molasses and PH'ed water.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Give them more time... Patience! Look at the trichomes, depending on which phase their in you'll know when to harvest. If you don't give a fuck about that a good time is when about 70-90% of the hairs are red... It's like looking at fruit on a tree, you'll have a good idea when it's ready. Get a jeweler's loop and check the trichomes and do your research depending on which kind of high you want.

Ok thanks for the advice Herbsicle420.

Could you guesstamate how long they have left?
Also are the yellowing leaves anything I should be cutting off or should i just leave them?

Dont touch the leaves, they are just fine on there. Two weeks at least im thinking. Fdd2blk has a thread called are they done yet or some shit like that. Read the first 20 pages and youll figure out. Theres like 500 pages or somthing. :):):)

Ive read that molasses is only good to be used a couple times. Not alot. Its just giving the bennies a boost. You could probably feed light nutes even a couple more times. Nice lookin plants btw :):):)

Sounds good I will wait it out. I did read the thread your talking about, I got up to to page 40 and thought I knew what to look for but then I was thrown off but some of the other peoples that I thought looked no where near ready.

Has alot to do with the tricombs but the lack of white pistals and the upward curling leaves help with clues. Ive seen sativa dom plants go 16 weeks of flower! How that for a kick in the pants ;) the damn things just kept popping out white pistals like crazy.

i dono why you stopped feeding them 15 days ago and the last 15 days are the most important time for the buds to grow
i usually stop feeding them when they are ready and flush them 5 days after they are ready

I thought the plants were 2-3 weeks away 2 weeks ago and I wanted at least 2 weeks of water only for them to clear out all of the nutes.

So what is your method?

Those plants should really have had food for the last few weeks. The yield would have been much greater and the plant would look healthier.

It looks like they need at least another week.

I have started the plants on nutrients again over the next week while they are ripening.

Hopefully things will pick up and I can post back in a week or so and you guys can let me know if its ready.

So eager

ya even without a microscope.. the best way to know if ur getting close is well if u don't have any hermis lol .. wait till u see the hairs receding back into the calyx and turning a darker color.. u can tell just by looks if bud was pulled to early.. ull see big orange hairs.. that used to be white until they chopped.. wait until u start seeing the plants become more bulky and not much new growth of calyx or white hairs. but.. SPEND THE 20 bucks and get a microscope.. its the best decision a new grower can make.
