Hey @Seedlin, do you have a journal or pics of that Pineapple Express you mind sharing? Growing one myself right now, first time in coco, would love to compare. You mentioned using less nutes, I wonder if I'm overfeeding mine. What PPM/EC did you feed during your bloom? Thanks.

I feed Flora Nova Grow and Flora Nova Bloom 5 ml per gal( once budding starts) Cap-Mag Plus ( 3 ml ga.) and once she has little buds Monster Bloom once a week till harvest. I feed daily, sometimes twice a day when I can. I used to keep pic journals when I first joined the site 5 or 6 yrs ago but got away from it. This Corona virus shit has me at home so I'm playing on the pc again. Show ya what I have going now, 4 Pineapple Express@ about 40 days, 4 Dois Si Dois around 30 days and 4 Zkittles at 15 days

How old are they and yes that is starting to "bud" or flower. If they are only 4 weeks old, autos. If they are 8 or nine weeks old, photos.

About 5 or 6 weeks but I topped them so that could account for the other week or two. That also means I just topped 9 plants that magically happen to be autos. Fuckkkkk they are probably stunted for the long run now huh? I guess the good news is I magically now have hundreds of autoflower seeds lol

I have a bit bigger space to work with , so larger plants/pots in a 3x3 makes more sense for my grow space with a 4 plant legal limit.
It's pretty hard to compare one grower to the other but here is something to think about, maybe are you working harder then you have too ?
What I mean is, you are growing 4 smaller plants in half gal pots and yielding roughly the same as two larger plants in 3g pots in that same space. You are also watering 2 extra plants 4x more frequently in that same space and I don't believe those extra fertigation's are showing in your yield.

I know growing 4 plants apposed to 2 plants in that same space offers a larger variety, I'm just suggesting that your workload per gram of weed produced is higher then it needs to be.
How hard is it to water? And grams? In a 3 gal you said you average 5.5 to 6.5 oz per plant. Lets give you the benifit of the doubt and say you get 6 oz every time. You are growing 1 oz per half gal and i am growing 2 oz per half gal. That's alot more than you're seeing just by watering. It is not hard at all. To each their own. Im not talking down soils at all. I just clearly see people that have minimal experience or that didn't do too well when they did try because of laziness it seems comment on coco and they really shouldn't be cause is not correct information.

Breaking it down by gal of soil per ounce of weed feels like a strange metric in my opinion.. I think we would be better off using gpw or per plant. And I think you will find we are going to be pretty close around that same 2-3gpw. I'm not saying that either of us is putting out "not correct information" as we can both successfully grow weed, I'm suggesting that someone can achieve the same gpw with less plants and less fertigation in a coco grow. For medicinal users watering plants multiply times a day is not practical. I'm trying to show that you can grow successfully in coco watering every few days as apposed to the standard "you have to water daily/2x daily in coco" that seems to show up a lot in the forums.

(edit) I think if we started breaking it down by amount of soil per gram of weed we would all end up growing in solo cups for the most efficient results.

Solo cup in coco watered once every 1-2 days. Over an ounce dry purple lemonade auto

might I inquire to the genetics of that little beast? I mean that’s really pretty impressive. I tried looking up the solo cup contests Before but there are just too many pages to read through. For whatever reason I love seeing these

I'm not sure why you think you "need to show me" anything. It's absolutely my choice to grow in smaller pots :/

This was a fast buds purple lemonade auto flower. Solo cups are a fun little challenge if you have never done one before and a pretty good way to sample genetics.

I'm not trying to show you specifically anything.

It's really not specifically for you, it was more for the person that said they hated watering coco 2x daily. I just happened to use your set up as a comparable example that coco can be done with similar results are yours without all the work.

I got you. It's all choice. I could grow bigger in coco for sure. But why when growers get more than me. My 2 oz in half gal/2 liters is a joke tbh. Swisha85 here has a journal with average 4 oz by watering 2x a day only. On Autoflower.net a guy RoastyMcToasty gets over 4 oz. You should see his plants. Pain to water that much? To some i suppose. But the loss of yeild if 1 of your big plants takes a dive, saving on medium, ease of moving them around, multiple strains as you alrrady suggested are all too beneficial than to grow bigger in coco. To each their own and i didn't say that you had no experience with coco personally or even that this is the best way. Just a look at if you can do this in 1/2 gal of coco than.... That's all i got though. Just don't want people scared of coco like 1st timers shouldn't try it.
