Are there labs comparing BHO vs ROSIN ingredients

Has there ever been a lab test comparing
same strain- same amount extracted of a Rosin Extract and a BHO extract and comparing the results.
Yield would be interesting, but more important... Are any cannabinoids left out? Any terpenes left out? What is the comparison etc

Well distillate by theory will be 99% or close to of whichever cannabinoid you are distilling. You just lose everything else like terpenes and things. If using medicinally, the entourage effect provides maximum potential for healing. Entourage meaning all cannabinoids and terpenes working together at their intended ratios

Actually most distillate comes out at about 70% of whatever your target component is inless you have really fancy equipment n knowledge of chem. You must run it threw short path system at least twice to achieve the 80% + range however breakdown happens and carry over can occour. Certain terps can also still be present in a distillate.

I think you are confusing distillate with concentrate/extract. An extract like BHO will yield in the ~70% range (or a bit higher), however a proper distillate should really be no less than 90%. A crude garage setuo distillate might be in the 70-80% range, but by no means should a proper lab distillate be any less than 90%, preferably closer to 95%+.

I think hes saying that sometimes distillate does not come over at 95+% d9 on the first pass. Sometimes the best fraction has to be re distilled to further purify it

Well yes, but to me that is implied, no? If someone is making a distillate it would make sense to purify it so that the final product is at least 90% and not just stop at 70%.

Yes and no. It isn't the goal to make triple distilled vodka as high if proof as possible, so the context matters here.

It is more along the lines of grain alcohol, where a first distil might be around 80%, but sine the goal is absolute purity, it is usually distilled one or more times to get 95%+. I think in the context of a THC or CBD distillate, it is implied that you are distilling to 95%+ and not 70%, which is why when you buy a distillate it looks like a white powder and not BHO.

Just my 2c.
