By law they can only sell clones that are within certain restrictions of size. These restrictions also include the size of the pot
that these plants can be in. I'm pretty sure the pot can be no bigger than 2" x 2" or something ridiculous like that.

you can usually find teens on craigslist, they don't seem to mind breaking laws there.

While you would be "breaking the law", as far as i know there is no current history of busting buyers locally, just the sellers. Be safe, but there is def plants to be had. I wish i had some to offer.... Maybe next time.

Do you just make this shit up?

It is not illegal in CO to get weed from anyone, but it is illegal to sell weed without proper licensing.

Actually I think someone else "makes shit up" when they write the laws.
Maybe you can define "get weed from anyone" , I'm pretty sure it doesn't really matter if you are the buyer or seller, if there's money involved both parties are involved in an illegal transaction.

If you're communicating with someone else with the intent to "exchange, barter or traffic in, to solicit or receive and order except through a licensee [which don't yet exist]. . . to deliver [or encourage the other person to deliver] for value in any way other than gratuitously, to peddle or possess with intent to sell, or to traffic in for any consideration promised or obtained directly or indirectly[,]" then you're also engaged in a crime and subject to prosecution. See Colo. HB 13-1317, to be codified at Colo. Rev. Stat. 12-43.4-103(22).

Chances may be slim, but it is a possibility unless you're talking about a true donation, with nothing changing hands other than the plant.

With all of the pest issues it makes more sense to be a grower from seed and keep your growing environment free from bugs and pesticides. A little patience and you can grow very nice plants. Start your plants a month apart and you can have a prepetual harvest.

Big fan of growing from seed, then keep the best going with a cloner... Avoids bugs and you can get amazing genetics from the seed breeders. There are a couple strains that you can only get by clone but the vast selection of seeds should keep you busy for a while. If you don't have time to wait for a seed to grow to clonable size maybe you should reconsider growing and just buy from a shop.bongsmilie
