Are the medical dispensaries hypocrites?

Since prop 19 was introduced, I get the feeling all these m.d. are ran by assholes. Since 1996, all they been doing is acting like the "nice guys" & they're motto is always been;

"Why pay high prices for your meds? Meds should be cheap, we care about you!"

That's funny, considering Prop 19 would lower the cost of pot substantially, yet all the m.d. are all against it. What happened to caring about the patient? What happened to we should all get meds for cheap? What happened to, we need meds @ affordable prices? Prop 19 gives us all that.

Prop 19 saves us up to $150.00 for a card, the time & gas, & money on the meds themselves. Pay $35 1/8 or pay $10 1/8 with prop 19. You want us to all have our meds @ affordable prices, then why not yes on 19?

It sounds as if they're true colors are finally bleeding through. Greedy, money hungry, & no care for the patients. They have the audacity to talk shit about the government being greedy on marijuana taxation, what about them? I much rather pay tax on marijuana & get my 1/8 @ $12.70 then pay $25.00-35.00.

Friends my ass... they never cared about your health, that's for damned sure. If they did, they wouldn't care about the money, the business, all they would care about is you being able to get your meds at affordable prices.

You would be a fool to assume that you can trust anyone, ever.
I never said I trusted em. I always knew they were in for the money, that's obvious. You don't run ads, you don't lower prices, you don't do all these business tactics if your not a business that's in it for the money. They compete with each other like Wal-Mart & Target would, that alone says they are looking at the meds from a business point of view. I never trusted them, I simply bought through them because they are a better source (In most cases) & price then the street. Speaking of street, there's another competitor they make sure they are always below in price. They have no right to call anyone greedy, when in fact they are the exact definition.

You don't run specials, you don't talk shit about other clubs ("Why get your card through MediCann when you can go through us for $85!") that's a advertising scheme, that's a business. Not a friend trying to save you money. All that is, is them trying to get your money instead of you giving it to MediCann or the streets.

A lot of them, but not all. A few of them actually really believe in what they are doing. And the shit doesn't grow and finish itself.

If you're hoping for the day that you can buy Chinese weed from Wal-Mart for dirt cheap, then more power to you.

Nah, I don't want my weed to have nuclear waste on it... sorry. LMAO!

I don't work for a dispensary, so you can't say I'm a hypocrite... lol. Even after our talk, I'm still going to support the shit out of Prop 19 & go yes! But, sadly, like I been saying, chances are below average now... =(

Prop 19 is a plan to take advantage of your local uneducated stoner. Fuck prop 19. I'm not even in cali but if I was close I'd fake residency and vote no. I'm not down for this half assed one state only legalization. Let's make pot around kids more of a felony then it is. But hey at least our buds are a whole $10 cheaper now. Wanna know the beauty of growing? Buying it doesn't exist therefore you don't have to worry about price. Isn't already legal to grow? Wtf does prop 19 change that we can't already do as growers? It helps businesses not the people.

Your not down for this half assed one state legalization? Lol. Umm, that isn't our fault, that isn't Prop 19's fault, that's your states fault for not following or doing it first. Look what happened with medical marijuana, it started in ONE STATE & expanded. Why are all the NON-SUPPORTERS the same people that are impatient as fuck. Beardo wants it fully legal but doesn't understand it CANT go fully legal over night & now you want it legal in ALL states, but don't understand it CANT go in all states because each state makes they're own decisions! A whole $10 cheaper, are you kidding? It'll be a lot cheaper then $10 off, I was just using figure-of-speech's my friend. You can buy a cartoon of cigarettes for $40.00, over 200 cigs... if you can get over 200 joints for $40 than that's way more then $10 your saving on bud. Way more. How does that not help people? It helps business & people.

Talk about uneducated stoners, lol...

Sorry people, were taking baby steps here, it's not all about you guys individually. Yeah, let's introduce a bill in the entire United States that legalizes marijuana FULLY & in ALL states & let's see how far that plan gets us. Guaranteed that plan wouldn't even make it to the media because it is so absurd, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning twice in the same hour, while winning 1-million dollars on a scratcher ticket that has a $50,000 maximum win prize. Not going to happen, right? Neither will your dreams of every state going legal & fully legal anytime soon.

Hell yes they are.

I don't know how it is in anyone else's town or part of the medical state... but mine is shit. Not ONE clinic is in any way compassionate. Sorry, even if you think they are, they're fucking playing their greedy cards right and you've been made a fool. Clinics are against it because they don't want patients to buy cheap ass weed when they have all these costs for being open as a dispensary. It's bullshit, everyone knows damn well the money to be made from the marijuana industry and that's why clinics sprouted EVERYWHERE. Not because they want the community to have compassionate cheap weed, it's because they want that cash flow. Fuck the clinics, make it legal so real patients in need can just get their weed from WHEREVER! Not drive 20 miles away to some clinic to get frisked, wait, and get played by some tool selling $70 1/8's of fake Skywalker OG listed as indica.

Don't get me wrong, thank you for prop 215 and clinics allowing some freedom to some people, and help for REAL patients in need. I know of a few places that are compassionate as hell to real patients in need of pain relief. But if they all can get it for dirt cheap or grow it their own without pissing $60-190 on a medical card every year? I'll say fuck the clinics.

You can get a medical card for 45$ But some doctors will give a free recomendation to someone truly in need and some dispenceries if not all will give FREE meds to those who are in need I have seen it MANY TIMES.

Oh I know, I now you can get em as low as $45.00, but I have heard more then often when you pay low prices, those dispensaries end up going down because of shady shit & the card becomes invalid. This is just what I hear from people in person & on RIU. As for dispensaries giving you free bud, I have also heard this, but... how often do you think they do that? Not very often at all... trust me. I know. I have been to a shitload in Cali & your lucky to get more then 2 hookups before they start cutting you off, even if you are a valid & repeat customer.

As for getting the card for $45 instead of $150, that is my point exactly. They are acting as if they are "helping" you get a cheaper card, but in reality, it's an advertising scam. Why does Burger King, Carls Jr., & every other fast food NOW have a dollar menu? To stay in contention with Mc. Donalds. It's an advertising gig in order to get people to buy from you, therefore a $45.00 card is they're way of getting you to give your money to THEM & not to MediCann or whatever else place will run you more. In result, they aren't being your friend, they are competing with another dispensary. Not to mention, when they hook you up that cheap, it's they're way of getting you hooked into buying through them, so they end up making they're money back off you for that $100 loss they took on the recommendation. The way they see it (Again from a business standpoint) like any good business, they are hooking you up because they know you feel more obligated to buy from them, you feel as if they are your friend now. They know damned well that if they give you a $45.00 card, your going to turn around & buy they're bud, your not going to say thank you & go to MediCann are you? Majority of people won't because they will feel like assholes...

As for them giving free hookups. They do this, again, for advertising purposes. Sure Phillip Morris doesn't give out free cigs in order to get people to buy from them. But that's because Phillip Morris has different business structure. They give you free bud because, just like the $45.00 card, they know that by doing that, you will feel as if they are your friend & they will feel obligated to pay you back, & they will pay you back by coming back to you & buying next time they need meds. Why go to MediCann when 420Meds hooked you up for free last time? YOur going to feel like you owe them that sell...

It's all business dude. Sorry to say, I know your an artist & you should understand more then you do being an artist & around a lot of this type of work. But, I know because I run my own business & I have been in business for sometime now, all the tricks of the trade. Everything the dispensaries do are for they're benefit only, not yours. Many business' use the "friendship card" as a business tactic. Just like Mc. Donald's uses Transformer toys in happy meals during the Transformers movie release, because it will cater to the children, not because they CARE about the children, because they know the kids will WANT it.

It's all about WANT. You don't stay in business forever by GIVING, you stay in business by WANTING... & that's the mindset all these dispensaries have...

I'm not saying it's wrong, because every business needs to stay afloat somehow. What I am saying although, is it's wrong in the sense that they are advertising themselves as a caring hand, when in reality, they're the exact opposite.

prop 19 is turning out to be very ironic situation it is funny to listen to everyone complain especially the tin foil hate peeps

if the world were a logical place it would never have been an issue you'd be able to buy a pound of it for $3 like you can a zillion other medicinal herbs but the world is not logical and the conclusion is that every last one of us are morons the smarter people are the stupider they look in retrospect.

Today's price on medical cannabis actually lowered due to more competition in my opinion compared to when people were still buying off the street. In the end you both get what you need though. I hate people who stick around and talk about their day because no one really gives a shit and they make me wait longer.

I do not buy my medicine from a doctor the doctor gives the rcomendation. they are prevented buy law from promoting and dispensary over another they cant say heres your rec now check out mary janes on 4th they have great medicine. some doctors have started opening offices in the same buildings as dispensary which is questionable and im sure does help both doc and dispensary buisness. The doc I was reffering to dosen't have a dispensary and has been known to give free recomendations to homeless people who had a legitimate medical issue not for publicity not for profit but as compassion. And I have not seen anyone in need shut off on free compassion meds I know my dispensire is a buisness and i'm sure their not losing money-sometimes I pay 30$ a gram for THE BEST- but I have been really impressed with the compassion i have seen shown many times to those who couldn't afford meds- I see that their not giving away the top shelf I pay for but I have seen many bags given away that I would be very grateful to receive if I was in need. I understand buisness is buisness and not all promotions are done to be 'nice' but their is more compassion to be found in the mmj community than in most buisnesses. Some shop owners are dirt balls -some are not
