Sure, that was exactly my first indoor grow. They loved the light. Flowering will be a disappointment though.

Aquarium lamps 40 watt very low K rating, and few lumans…
I still use them, for the full spectrum…
Augment them with a few CFL’s 6500K [white/white] around the plants… put lights real close [within 3-4 inches] to plants…
Good Luck!

I have two 50w 3100 lumans on the sides and one 50w spot grow light on the top. the bulbs are made for plants. My plant is 3 1/2 weeks old and is still small it has three sets of leaves and is just starting the 4 th set. Is this to slow or is it normal?

Jeez, no you cant grow a plant with those.
Look into a HID system if you want to grow MJ.

400 watt HID with air cooled hood.

It takes forever to flower! Plus you will get spindly buds. Skip the LED, its a waste of money IMO. Remember you want to get as close to 10,000 foot candles as possible. Marijuana is one of the most resilient plants in the world. You have to really try to kill it. Just have some fun and learn from the experience. Good Luck!

Check out Club T5 thread. I use HOT5 aquarium bulbs to infill during flower. Aquarium LEDs are a different bag as blue dominant spectrums are not conducive to flowering mmj, BUT, household globe leds work really well. Pic 2 & 3 are from my HOT5 tent

Check out my 2 threads

Nice PetFlora,
I also use HO T5s. I joined that club T5 thread 6 mos ago, but it seemed so old and I followed it a few times, but days would pass with no new posts, so I just stopped looking.

I have a total of 18, four foot HO T5s and tons of side lighting and Mylar. I think I'll go check out the thread again.

Nice buds PetFlora!

There's nothing new there for you.

Big news is 4ft T8 led tubes at 23w are here. I ordered 4 and will add them to my LED tent (see thread), which currently is running (quite well) with household led globes.
