are my plants showing early signs of sex?

i have two smaller plants that were growing
extremely slow, i checked up on them this
morning and noticed something growing on the
stem between the leafs. sorry for this extremely
SHITTY drawing. i cant take any pictures since
im on my cellphone. oh and those dark circle things
are the ball thingys that i seen, they are small still
and a yellow ballish thing on top of the plant.
