Are my lights to close

Been growing a while after all this time could I be hanging my light to close please help thanks

simple way is to put your hand in there and fell for yourself, if its to hot for you to keep it in there at plant hight, so it will be for your plants, good air circulation and a fan on the bulb pointed away from the plants can do a lot, so can a cool tube or hood

how big is your light ? 400 or 600W ?

I had my 600W at about 20 inch`s before I got my cool hood on, now I keep it at 12-15"

look at the leaf`s if they are curling upwards they are to hot

It's a 600 and thy not curling they praying so the closer the better

you can harm the plant if the light is to intense. your leafs will start to bleach out. im not sayin that closer isnt better but you have 600 watts how big is you room how many plants?

ya they look fine bro... i dont see any leaf curl, or light bleaching.. i have gotten some bleaching before when i kept my 1k too close, but never gotten any light bleaching from my 600's looks good, i think you could pack more plants in there

if praying your good, thats a sign of healthy plants, just keep a eye on em, dont want to put stress on em near the end and maybe get foxtailing, keep a good air flow/circulation and temps under 80F and you should be good ..

plants look great man. you can easily check what the temp is at the very top of the plant by using a thermal probe. and i would avoid black pots as they hold in heat.

Rooms a big tent could fit 30 but choose to do 6 I thought 6 was stretching it are u saying I can do more than 6 plants under 1 600w light

it all deepens on how long Veg you give em, if any, you could also do one big one in a scrog or 12 in a SoG

How do i go about creating a sog will 12 fit under 1 600 sounds alot

Last run I put 9 plants under my 600 in a 3x3 area. Harvested 2 zips per plant. 5 week veg period. I keep my light about 16in from the tops.

im have 14 plants in flowering about 4-6" inches away from my 1000W, i cheat and use a light rail so it dosent stay over anything long enough to cook it, i just maintain that 4-6 inches and put a fan blowing inbetween the tops of plants and my lights. i vegged 40 days from seed, took 4 mothers and put the rest into flower, im hoping for qp or better per plant with no popcorn at the bottom cause my lights so damn close.

Ok think next batch starting today gonna do 8 12/12 from seed see how that goes thanks for the help guys

Ok got my seeds goin under 1 600w should I cut back to 8 or should I keep the 12
