Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and have a couple questions regarding MMJ card in R.I.
I am not curently living in R.I., but plan on moving there in the future. I am in my mid 30's and have been suffereing from a few injuries I had when I was younger. The only problem is that my insurance coverage has been spotty at best, since most of my work is contractual, I haven't had any benefits in many of my jobs.
I have a knee injury about 10 years old now and its been giving me serious pain for the past 5 years or so. I fell down a small cliff and landed on my knee on a sharp rock. When this happened I didn't have insurance so I didn't go to the doctor and self medicated. I ended up with a nasty 3" scar right across my knee cap.
I also broke my middle toe about 5 years ago on the same leg, again no insurance, and it also didn't heel right and now I have a large growth of calcium that has built up around my toe causing serious pain when I walk.
As of right now, I don't have good medical records, except the x-ray at the walk in clinic on my toe I had done, because I had thought it was cancer.
I did suffer from astma when I was younger, but I haven't tried to dig up those records yet.
I have reecently found that MJ actually helps, especially with walking pains.
I have looked over the MMJ R.I. bill and am uncertain if I qualify.
thanks.
