its been almost 2 weeks no signs of roots
i presoaked the cubes with ph'ed 5.5 water mixed with some clonex solution gel and put them in a humi-dome
i cut a 45 degree angle at the bottom of the stem, shaved a 1" section and placed it in clonex gel
i mist them 3x a day with water and vita grow anti wilt for the first week and i read that your not supposed to keep the cubes that wet. They were really wet until yesterday when i shook the excess water out of them.
I took off the dome for a bit to let them dry but i still periodically mist them
one of the clones have a leaf that has yellow patches with brown spots on them.
another one's leaves are starting to have discoloration so i wonder whats wrong with them :(

oh i forgot to add that 5/7 clones i have the mothers were starting to flower.

hmm, im tring to find the right groove for cloneing also. id say give em a few more days, then if thers still no roots, take one and carfully peel the rock wool away to see if they have rooted. or try to lift the stem from the RW. if its snug it probly has a root system. if it pulls straight out, by now they most likly are duds. good luck!

Are you spraying them? They have a lot of leaf on them.

Just keep going and don't over water. 70-80 degrees.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

You will see little nubs forming on the stem before they turn to roots.

You might have better luck with Rapid Rooters (they hold more air), cut it again, trim of the excess leaf and give it another go. :leaf:

Unless you just have to have these clones, it is time to move on. They should have done something by now.

First of all, do not use vita grow anti wilt. Clones only need water and cloning gel. Using the clone solution helps as well. What I notice when using the plugs is when you place the clone inside the hole, press on both sides of the cube so the hole closes up around the stem. This closes air from getting in. Increases chances of rooting by very very much.

when i stuck them in i took outer pieces of the rockwool and filled up the hole with it, 2 of the clones are new they are on the second day i have more hope for those two

but id like to save the other four, so i should just spray them once a day with water and keep them in the dome, how far away from the light should they be?

spray once a day or 2 light ones is what i do. keep em in the dome, purping them 2-3 times aday. and they realy dont need a lot of light mine are 10"-12" from T5

Yea, I have done it before and I am doing it now.

I just (4 weeks ago) cloned 2 bottom "flowers" off my Pre-98 Bubba which was way into flowering. One took, the other was bare stalk, no root. It took awhile, one it now going to town around 5 inches tall, and the other is starting to show "new" green. They have been going for more that 4 weeks. I did it because my mother was looking sick.

If you give them time it should work, Rockwool can be tough, depending on the strain.

Good Luck :joint::peace:

guys cloneing is so simple its not even funny 99.9 percent of the time it fails cause we as humans just wont leave things alone :))

go out and buy MG seedling mix sure its everywhere or any seedling mix you can find while your there get some peat moss as well open bag of that Mg pour half into a pail then add 4 cups of peatmoss stir it up real well

now get a large bowl of luke warm water 4 litres of it add 2 ml of H202 to it and 4 ml of humex 04 -03 - 1 bring ph to 5.8
once thats done add it to your mister mist soil till you can grab a handfull and it makes a squishing sound
now your ready.
what i found that works best is 1" trays fill them up packing it down fairly firmly then useing a toothpick i make my holes for the cuttings

taking cuttings use the bowl you made and start cuttting cuttings make sure to make stem a little longer as your goin to cut some of it off
useing a cutting board pour some of the water on it and place a dab of your rooting gel thats where your goin to make your cuts
useing a razor mae a 45 degree cut approx 2 " from bottom of plant once you done that make 2 to 4 more slices up the branch not cutting right thru but rather thin sliceing i use fish hook technique once thats done place it in gel for like a few seconds moving it around and getting it good and wet place it in soil firmly packing soil around stem and your good to go once your done lightly mist cuttings and your dome place it under your lights approx 2 " above domes is good now important dont touch it for like 4 days then ater 4th day start lightly misting plants no more then 2 times a day mist dome as well an leave then under dome by 8th day you should have a rooted cutting
