yeah they are good for pests like spider mites and aphids. They will be around as long as there is food for them to eat. Many different kinds of lady bugs. I like the spidermite destroyers. Bad ass bugs!

YOu want to welcome lady bugs in your garden they are a good thing. They dont eat plants they eat other bugs and will dig down in the soil to eat bug larvae too, just make sure to spray your plants with water or you will dry out the lady bugs.

I just read an article about the symbiance between plants and insects (well got through as much as I could in the waiting room)There are many elements within plants that there are current studies being done in. Particularly the ones that seem to have a relationship with insects. In Holland they are looking at how plants emit elements to attract predatory insects when they are under attack from plant eating insects. Problem arises when humans come in and start spraying plants and killing all types of bugs, including predatory ones.....commercial agriculture probably has a lot to do with the amount of plant eating insects about, by mass spraying off fields the mind boggles as to what they are doing to the insect life on our plant.....anyway, just had my first smoke of the day so felt like exercising some gob shite onto page. WE LOVE LADYBUGS!!!!

i know they're good... i was just sayn...im in a place were there is a lot of them around and i dont see any on my plants... so i must not have a pest problem (some pests)...moslty spider mites would be my problem if i hade any...and i know the only way to see them basterds are with a magnafing glass or spary urplants with water and look for floating beads of water ( it will look like a bead of water is just floating there defiying gravity)that means there are micro webs and water willstick to them makingit easier to spot.

That is precisely right...they eat the bugs that eat the plants...but unless you have some sort of softbodied insect for them to eat they will just leave your area.

He's right. Pests can come from a lot of different places like pets, dispensaries, clones, bags of soil/coco from the grow store.

Hell yeah my buddy ordered some predatory mites and they basically eat spider mites and then when there are no more they start eating each other. I personally use predatory nematodes for gnat problems.
