Are feminized seeds the real deal?????

I have never ordered feminized seeds.... I am aware that all of the seeds may not germ but for the ones that do germ is it a 99.9% chance you will get a fem?

hmmmm.... so are herms a bad thing.... whats the deal with herms....? is there a purpose for them?

they are bad things it is a female plant that turns male so it is both of then and it produces pollen sacks and will pollanate all of your female plants but you can kill them and make hash but if you have a stable growing enviroment they should be fine and you will only get a few hermis if even.

they smokable? and at what stage of flowering can you tell if they are hermies

a few weekes into flowering and it is a male plant i dont know that much about them but you can make hash and i think a little bit of it is smokable

no real reason to buy fem seeds then its the same as buying a reg pack

no i wouldnt say that cause if your enviroments right you shouldnt get hermies. yes there is always a chance but the plants ysually go herm because of stress. treat em right and they will do the same (most of the time) fluke you get a hermie, just kill it and move on. plant a few and you'll get females at a way greater chance then just reg seeds. HERMIES DO OCASIONALLY HAPPEN keep that in mind

theres a huge chance of hermies from fem'd seeds, dont buy them. theyll hermie regardless if you stress them or not, ive seen friends grows hermy on *every* budlet from a hermie Hash Plant seed. dont risk it!!

so basically, if you're confident and know what the hell you're doin, then sure, get them feminized seeds, but if this is you're first grow, i wouldn't, you're garaunteed to get a few hermies. no one does it right the first time, or the second, or third..... you learn things all the time

anyway, i have a question, how come i can't click the "Quote" check box to quote someone, i click it and it just does nothing, how do i include quote??

ditto; hermies make hermies. i'm against it about 90%, and would only consider selfing an elite clone only strain.

meh, read the post above this. some of us are saying fem'd seeds will hermy pretty much regardless. its been shown countless times and if you want to take that risk, then thats a dumb move. down the road, i wouldnt bother with them either. always go with stable genetics bro, feminized is highly unstable.

you're right, my reply was more of a question than a comment, so now i know, and that's what i figured, i've never bought them kind of seeds, and never will, i'd rather see a male in late veg and kill it than get excited about all my females only to find out half turned hemie when i wasn't looking and contaminated the rest of my crop.

If you order females from a quality seed producer they are pretty stable... I ordered 5 female Power Plant fems.... the PP is an extremely resilient strain and Dutch Passions is a quality, time tested, and proven producer. The better companies will produce better results because they've had more time to breed/perfect the genetics.

i grow powerplant too, since powerplant is a land race strain with 1 phenotype - it will typically be more resilient. youre definately right about that, you could piss on my powerplants and theyd be fine

No, not really theres a pretty good chance of them being hermi.

yea theres things to do with it like collect pollen for breeding but unless your breeding lots of strains and making money then its not worth it. Your better off buying yourself a pack of seeds for 20-30$ or a couple clone's and start fresh. As for feminized seeds they are just a ripoff. you think your gonna get female plants but the results are shitty.i got maybe 2 or 3 good healthy females from a 10 seed fem pack and can get 5-8 from a 10 seed pack of standard's. So ill stick to my standard's i have higher success rate.
