Are Doctors safe?

Went to see my doctor about insomnia and back pain. After a very long talk and after talking about all my research, we finally discussed medical mj. She obviously denied my request and gave me a prescription for a drug that has more side effects then it cures(it even has a warning about depression, that wont keep me up at night or anything).

Anyways, so my question is, I obviously think I am smarter then the doctor, but am I? Or is the doctor right in prescribing me pills because they have a medical background and I dont?

you need to see doctors experienced in alternative health and treatment to talk to a real person usually

Forget the doctor. I was prescribed many pills (melatonin, mefanemic acid etc) and they all stopes working or made me feel ill after a while. I just got back from the hospital, the last time I was there I was on a tolerance break. I came back today and my doctors were all like 'So are you smoking again how? How's it been since you've been able to smoke again? Really? Oh, good, that's wonderful to hear..'

And we don't even HAVE 'medical marijuana' here.

you're already smoking pot and you still have the problems. if it were the cure, why did you go the doctor?

I have a good doctor who has helped me a lot, but I'm sure he wouldn't write a recommendation for MJ.

As a matter of fact he was giving me some pills that I didn't need. The pills also caused a B12 deficiency.

So I called his office and told them I was stopping the meds and I would like an appointment. I took awhile and then he had another doctor write the letter saying I was cured.

I went for my physical this year and all my numbers were great. He asked if I was still taking the B12 and I told him that I thought that the other medicine cause the B12 deficiency. He said oh no, but that what the protocol says.

So .... here in Califonica .. you take your pill bottles with you, and any other stuff so that another doctor can write the recommendation.

Most doctor are Sheeple, and they don't want to lose the ability to write scripts for pills.

when weed dispensaries get organized and hire sales reps to give free samples to doctors and pay for perks for the md's then we'll see more mj rx writing. there is financial incentive to prescribe pills. but not mj.

try seeing a naturopathic doctor. They might try a few remedies but eventually they'll try marijuana. Don't take pharma crap if you don't like the side effects, seriously.

There are doctors/clinics that just do medical MJ scrips. If you have New and Review in your town, they are full of ads for them

she's probably insisting on the pills because she gets some kind of kick back for them

I don't even go to the docs anymore bc they are such bullshit. I already know what they are going to give me before I even step in there. Pain? Take some motrin. In severe pain?-here's vicodine/perks/oxy. Think something is broken? Here's a referral for an xray, copayment please. Felling sick? Heres a zpack. Stomach pains/burning ehh acid reflux or an ulcer, take this nexium for a month. Back pains? Oh physical therapy for 6 months, but your insurance will only pay for the first 5visits, hope you have $$$. I hate them so much.

It was a milder version of perks and last time I was on them I got addicted to them lol. It was much harder to stop after using them for 1 month, then stopping the mj when I went on my trip earlier this year.

Do doctors know that mj has almost no side effects? Or are they just turning a blind eye? Or are we the stupid ones and believe everything on the internet?

a lot of doctors don't like pot. They think its evil and causes problems. They don't realize that instead of smoking it you could easily eat it. You have a right not to take the pills! If you don't agree with the side effects tell that to your doctor and ask for something else!

Doctors are sheeple too. ...and they do get big kickbacks from big pharma and have probably been told their paid vacations to Hawaii would be cancelled if they recommend pot.

I got my OLD pills on a budget went to dr, blew my budget with new pills. I could throw some seeds out my backdoor and grow my own MMJ. Forget the dr.s! When pot is legal to grow in Ga I will let you know how it works for what.

I thought that too, but maybe he just want's to get recognized as a medical cannabis patient if his state allows it.


I'm also with most others on this subject, screw those kinds of doctors that are paid by the pharma companies, and unless my limb is hanging off, I just don't go to doctors period...

so i just got denied by my insurance company for an MRI...fucking bullshit i guess ill hobble around for the rest of my life. all these motherfuckers want is $$$$
